beginner question : legacy compoent not present but traineddata is here

Hi,

I'm strating to play with tesseract.

I've installed it on Windows 10 but I'm encoutering some bug when I want to try -oem 2. When I try I have an error saying that component are not present but the traineddata are in fact in place. How I can fix that?

Hi,

do not post screenshot: copy&page console text to forum/email.

You did not write how you installed tesseract, but I guess you installed fast traineddata (best and fast are without legacy data). 

If you want to use the legacy engine, you have to download traineddata  (and copy to the appropriate location)

Hi,

thank you very much it was the problem. If i replaced the fra.traineddata by the one from the github account that fixed the bug. But that means too that the 2 traineddata can't be kept and you have to choose one or is it a way to have legacy traineddata in another directory and to force Tesseract to use that directory in place of "tessdata"?

run:

tesseract --help-extra

read it and think about how to use some options for solving your problem ;-)
