Cannot make box file

I'm trying to train tesseract but just stopped already when making a
box file. I used the command line as given in the wiki, but all I got
was the following message in the terreract.log: "Could not open file,
batch.nochop". There seems to be something wrong with reading the
parameters, I guess. I'm using the windows executable and tried both
2.00 and 2.01.

Do you have box.nochop file in the same folder as your windows executables?

why not use latest version tesseract 2.03 available for download.  Till today, I never faced the problem you quoted, in the MSwindows platform.

Further you can use bbt tool bbTesseract | Google Groups
(http://groups.google.com/group/bbtesseract) which create box files automaticlly..

Thanks for this hint. I expected the tar.gz with the windows
executables to contain all necessary files and hence didn't think of
missing files, but obviously it does not. Found them all in the other
downloads and now it's working fine.

Tesseract-2.03 is latest version. I had forwarded  8 exe files generated in tesseract 2.03 - what happens?

1. I can not find "box.nochop" mentioned on wiki (but maybe I am too tired at the moment ;-)). Can you provide link and paragraph?
2. Why are you using 2.x version? It is too old...
