Digit recognition using Tesseract

Hey, i have downloaded and installed tesseract for android.
My intention is to purely have it recognicing all numbers, that means numbers in all fonts and variations("analog", digital).
I thought tesseract came with a given dataset which could be used, atleast for some of it, does it? if so, where ?

WHy don't you consider running Tesseract with the whitelist option? It's the easiest option to test out, imho.

Sounds good, I had actually looked at that, but on calling init i need to give a path to some training datasets which files are these ? :)

You need your code to point to the trained tesseract file for your language. They are in a folder called tessdata  in the release version, i think. English and  a few other languages are shipped out by default.
