I am also having problems gettin Tesseract to work on Windows.
I downloaded the binaries, but when I execute "tesseract.exe image.tif
output.txt -l eng", I get nothing. No output, no errors, nothing. Just
another command prompt.
So, I downloaded the latest source, opened the solution in VS2005, and
performed a build. It compiled everything without errors. I ran the
resulting tesseract.exe as before, and get the same results - no
output, no errors.
SO, I downloaded the tesseract-files.ZIP posted by 74yrs_old, unzipped
to a folder, and tried running the same command. Get the same results
(or lack thereof).
I have the image file and the tessdata subfolder located in the same
folder as the tesseract.exe file. What am I missing to get the program
to work?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
