Automatic Alignment of Scanned Pages

Hi,

Does Tesseract have a module to automatically align and straighten out a scanned sheet of paper? If it does, can someone please point me to the code that is responsible for this?

I'm a B.Sc. Computer Science and Media undergrad and looking into making an automated "OCR" for scanned sheet music (which then eventually outputs MIDI files). This is for my bachelor thesis. I hope for the normalization to be already implemented by either Tesseract or OCRopus.
