cta and drop down menus

I installed Tesseract & Wordpress using Linux, I am unable to get the cta buttons to work also the drop down menus give error message 404 page not found.
I have been reading lots of posts and can't seem to locate a problem like mine. I really would appreciate it if someone can assist me. I have tried with other themes but I get lost, at least woth Tesseract I now what to do (just can't do it)
