Speeding up tesseract for mail address block recognition

Hello guys,

We need to recognize cropped image area containing only address block of few address text lines (around 3-6 lines). We want to compile tesseract without any other extra stuff except text recognition. For example no rotation, layout analysis etc. Can you recommend which options to be disabled:

and which portion of the code is not needed?

I am not sure if I get it right, but there is no connection between parameters (you mentioned) and compilation. Parameters effects OCR process or provide additional information (debug parameters).

Regarding "not needed code" there is possibility to disable graphics part (IMO useful only for debugging[1]).

In issue list there request  partial compilation of Tesseract based on features required[2] e.g. skipping cube part, but nobody works on that.
