Someone I know is willing to pay for help in getting 150 handwritten (cursive) journal books OCRed.  I know that OCR for cursive handwriting is a difficult task.  The good news is this project involves just one person’s handwriting.

I have heard there are new capabilities coming in tesseract 3.01.  I am hopeful that with either 3.01 or 3.0 this task is feasible.  Please let me know if you have suggestions or can help in any way.

Any kind of help is requested: from suggestions up to a paying position.

Apologies about the lack of forum moderation.
I had delegated the task to Sriranga, and he seems to have had some time off.

I have just approved 27 messages.

Hi All,

I tried to post something to the regular tesseract forum, but it did not appear within a few days.  It looks like the last successful post was a few weeks ago.

Request:

  • Can somebody check if something is wrong/ why nothing seems to be getting posted in the regular tesseract forum?
