Codex Launches Codex Production Suite For Mac

Codex, a leading provider of digital media tools for film and television production, has announced the launch of Codex Production Suite for Mac, a new software package that enables Mac users to manage, review, and deliver high-quality media from Codex devices.

Codex Production Suite for Mac is designed to streamline the workflow from camera to post-production, allowing users to easily transfer, transcode, backup, and QC media from Codex Capture Drives and Compact Drives. The software supports a wide range of camera formats, including ARRI Alexa LF, Alexa Mini LF, Alexa 65, Alexa SXT, and Alexa Mini; Canon EOS C700 FF and EOS C500 Mark II; Panasonic VariCam Pure and VariCam LT; Sony Venice; and RED DSMC2.

Codex Production Suite for Mac also offers a powerful review tool that lets users playback and inspect media in full resolution on a Mac monitor or an external display. Users can apply LUTs, CDLs, and other color adjustments, as well as add metadata and notes to clips. The software also integrates with popular editing and grading applications, such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Baselight.

Codex Production Suite for Mac is the latest addition to the Codex ecosystem, which includes hardware devices such as Codex Capture Drive Dock, Codex Compact Drive Dock, and Codex Vault Platform. These devices enable users to capture and store media from various cameras and formats, and transfer them to Codex Production Suite for Mac or other post-production systems.

Codex Production Suite for Mac also supports Codex Backbone, a cloud-based service that allows users to securely upload, store, and share media from anywhere in the world. Codex Backbone enables remote collaboration and review, as well as seamless integration with third-party applications and services.
