I know there is a recall about the infotainment system over-heating while charging, but my car is getting alerts every day for the cabin being overheated. It's 69 degrees right now, my car is in the shade and it's cloudy in my area, yet it says the interior is 100 degrees. I haven't charged my car recently either.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks,
Amar

I haven't had this (although I have had a couple instances where the Cabin Overheat protection has kicked in) but a couple folks on the Tesla Motors Club MY forum have had failed interior sensors. Perhaps you have one as well.

I had to take my 2020 MY LR to Tesla for some minor servicing - panel gap adjustments :) and in the work order they mentioned that temperature sensors were replaced while the car was in the shop. I was not charged for it (covered by warranty), but it could be related to the older ones failing or having defects. This is what the work order/invoice said:

Replace Refrigerant Pressure/Temperature Sensors

Correction: Replace Refrigerant P/T Sensors
Parts Replaced or Added
Part Quantity
PT SENSOR, LOW
PRESSURE(1510048-
00-C)

1.00

PT SENSOR, HIGH
PRESSURE(1510047-
00-C)

2.00

out of curiosity about what is your VIN. I have a 36xxx.  Wondering if this is something I need to watch out for.  Any symptoms?

Sorry - off topic but for some reason I am not getting all messages, only when someone replies to a message that someone else sent out.  Anyone else experiencing this or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks.

If it is a spam problem, I see both you & Dan are gmail.  Here is a tip guide for that:

Anyone else, don't type the 'gmail/' in the url and you'll go to a top page where you can select a similar guide for your email provider.

My VIN is 48xxx.

Btw, I might have misspoken when I mentioned that the replaced sensors could have been an issue. I got an alert from the tesla app a few hours after I sent my email that my MY turned on the cabin overheat protection. The outside temperature was 76 and inside was 92. Not sure if this was a genuine overheat issue or something similar to what the others have experienced.

Hmm, I think the COP is supposed to trigger at 105 F. So there may indeed be something going on.
