got 12.3.3 last night

I think there is a little bit of improvement on the speed issue but it is definitely not fixed.  Could also be I'm getting used to handling it.  It does seem like if I press the pedal to increase speed to the desired mph and hold that for a few seconds that it sticks.  But it seemed that the car was going up to speed most of the time on its own.

Although it is still doing jack-rabbit starts and stops, they must have toned it down a little as I didn't see the physical brakes kick in and after 3.3 I saw that with every stop.

This shouldn't have anything to do the 3.3 but for the first time ever, my way home offered the alternate route of going .1 mile further to a traffic light rather then a left hand unprotected turn crossing several high-speed lanes.  It did prefer the killer nav but as I said it offered (and I took) the alternate route.

No improvements on the incidentals like the Wegmans I go to FSDb has always wanted to make an illegal U-turn rather than a left turn in to the parking lot.  Still have had any running off the road right before right hand turns that V11 (& 10 I think) would do.

I haven't driven 12.3.3 enough to comment on phantom braking yet.

Which Wegmans? I go to the one in Bridgewater And it never has tried to make a u-turn off 202. I go there at least once a week.

I noticed the speed change capability in 12.3.2.1. I just got 12.3.3 but haven't driven yet.

yup, that's the wegmans.  I'm going north and instead of left in to the parking lot, it always wants to do a U-turn.  I'm guessing it would go in that other entrance that is right after the light going south.  Was there this morning (just installed 12.3.3 this morning) and it still does it.  I disengage at the light and manually make a left but the screen is showing it as a U-turn.

If you are also making the left, that is interesting that the same nav is choosing different courses of action. 

As your familiar with the area, the unprotected left is by the bagel garden.  I'm in hillsborough and it always want to turn there to go Kenbury to Old York rather than left at the Old York light.  I usually go one more to Chubb way.

That's crazy. Yes, same left into town center and it has never tried a u turn. I started on v10 in a M3 with HW3 and now have a MY with HW4.

That bagel garden intersection is very dangerous, especially with the cross traffic trying to play frogger.

My first was V10.2 on 2021-10-11.  It has come a long way.

I wonder if HW4 makes a difference although I'd think it would be mapping if anything.  I do disengage and almost always report the disengagement reason "illegal U-Turn".  Maybe some day mine will do the left.

All the training for FSD is done with HW3 video. HW4 cars run it in emulation mode for now. This is an artifact of the compute restrained mode they were in until recently. I hope they can get both versions trained.

Have you tried going in the menu and picking sw updates advanced? Or toggling it to standard and then advanced? I did that yesterday and got 12.3.3 immediately.

Here I am this morning, 3rd car back planning to make a U instead of a left turn.  You can't see the sign in this pic but there is a no U-Turn sign ahead.  Of course we don't think it actually reads those signs.

It's California time. Turn from the left lane is so common in California and I think that's where it learnt to drive so I'm not too surprised.

btw: 12.3.3 still 👎three disengagements in less than a mile.

I think I managed to get all 5+ miles in with only 2 disengagements including this one.  I did have some interventions to goose the speed.

I was wrong with my earlier claim that the braking (using physical brakes because its running up to a light or stopped traffic then hard braking).  I forgot that I had turned off that use brakes when regen isn't good enough.  Turned it back on and it started using physical brakes immediately.

Funny thing is that it is doing fine without that setting on.  I have another round trip to Hershey tomorrow so I'm going to charge to 100 tonight.  I'll see how it works from 100 as it slowly drops SOC.  It will be interesting to see how it does at the first stop on FSD when the SOC is probably 98/99 and if I need to brake does it through it out of FSD.

Still can't get it.  Double checked I'm connected to WiFi.   Set and reset advanced update.   Talked to service.   

After 11 years of being of being a Tesla customer and 2 years of waiting before that, maybe my patience has just worn thin.

I check my car and email 3-4 times a day.

At least we're keeping Wegman's in business (actually I was also hitting HomeDepot).

That's really odd.  Not only are you not U-Turning but your lane graphics are totally different.  What is your destination?  I just looked and my recent just has Wegman's Bridgewater.  No address.  But I think I originally got there (I tap the recent trip these days) by saying "go to Wegman's in Bridgewater".  Could you really be going to HomeDepot or something?  I might try that and see if it makes a difference.

Oh, I just looked at your image again and see you have 724 202.  I'll use that next time and see what happens.

I normally do a voice command and say Wegmans. Then I have to select the bw location. 

I also fund the Borg, so I'll navigate there soon and see what happens. Every project's success is measured in Borg visits. I'm spoiled having them 5 min away.

I got it. Also, went to home Depot today. No issues with a u turn. It actually made the left to head to Wegmans and then turned right toward the home Depot and offered to park. I parked myself.

I'll call it Day 20 of waiting for FSD 12.3.  

I set another service appointment to see if there was an issue.  I had another call with them (service) where they really don't know when I'd get it.  Basically they said "thank you for your patience".  

I'm not patient.  My real problem is that Tesla could and should be much better with customer communication.   It's not a big expense and helps customers feel connected.   

I'm planning a road trip to soak in FSD and just want to set the date for that.

Also if I let that $12,000 sit around too much longer, my wife is going to make me spend it on something else.

Got 12.3.4 Friday morning. Took it today to Hoboken and through lower Manhattan and on to Nassau and Suffolk counties. Then back home. Did very well. Biggest issue was trying to squeeze in lane changes as cars were closing the gap. I cancelled 2 of them because I wasn't comfortable. 

And my turn off rt 202 from the dedicated left turn lane is broken again after working for the last 2 releases.
