As we all know from Android 5.0.64bit support is there. I have very simple question. Can we check programmatically in what mode any application is running i.e. 32bit or 64bit? For example: I have Facebook app running on my Nexus 9, so can I check using my android app if Facebook app's process is running in 32bit mode or 64bit mode?

I'm trying to deploy the Eset Endpoint AV to a Windows 7 32bit system(I had to remove the agent and the current EEA due to the agent not contacting the Protect server). I know for a fact v11 no longer work for Win7, and the last version I see from [1] is v9. So I create a task that installs v9.1.2071.0 (from a local repo) and run it.

Dunno how possible to make release and don't unclude 32 bit version (at least third party components) :( May be someone made normal built for 32bit and can upload ? I can use any vc version, main target is 32bit.

Got it. Made OCC dlls, but my project began ask for additional dlls that never asked for, in prev versions: avcodec-57.dll, avformat-57.dll, avutil-55.dll, FreeImage.dll, freetype.dll and tbb12.dll (was tbb.dll before). Also it crashing on any operation, even load IGS or STEP, so i am not sure that made all correct. Still needs 32bit third party components...

All these components are optional. You don't need building OCCT with FFmpeg if you are not going to record or play video using OCCT - in this case it is better disabling optional dependencies based on real demands of your application (check CMake configuration flags).

So i have come accross a challenge here where i need some assistance. I need to exchange 32bit Real data between a PLC (Siemens S7) and DCS (DeltaV 11.3.1) via Modbus. However modbus is designed as a 16 bit protocol, so the 32bit data received from the PLC is actually split in 2 registers. Ive used modbus before, so i have managed to setup the network and pull the data in, (i created a dataset with 16 bit registers, so every 2 registers is for 1 32bit real data from the PLC).

I just ordered a laptop, and it came with Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I want Vista Home Premium 64-bit on it. I'm planning a reinstall. Does anyone know if my product key for Vista 32-bit will also work for Vista 64-bit for an OEM copy? As far as I know, I just need to get the 64-bit media. Is this correct? Thanks.

According to the Microsoft Site, you can "upgrade" your 32 bit version to 64 for free, minus the shipping cost of a 64bit version on DVD. I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I believe they'll re-register your key to be legit for 64bit Vista.

This is probably where the misinformation comes from - if you had a 32-bit disc from a promotional event with SP1 built-in but you tried to use the key with a non-SP1 64-bit disc, it would not accept your key and/or would not activate. You would have to use a 64-bit disc with SP1 installed, or install without a key and then apply the key and do the activation after SP1 has been applied.

If you want to go 64Bit, you will need to buy a new license, and the cheapest way (that I have found) is to buy an OEM 64Bit disk like these on www.dabs.ie (.co.uk, .com) and either use the key that comes with it or the key that came with your system.

"To get the 64bit Vista DVD, your warranty with us must still be active. I can only setup orders for customers in the Americas. For customers in Euro or Asia Pacific, you must contact Dell Support for your country and tell them to look up

Once you load this 64bit Vista operating system, Dell will not assist in any operating system, software, or driver issues. We will only assist in hardware failures. If you want support for operating system, software, or driver issues, you must remove the 64bit Vista and reload the 32bit Vista." Dell-Chris_M.

You cannot perform an upgrade from a 32-bit version of Windows Vista to a 64-bit version of Windows Vista. You must use a full copy of Windows Vista to perform a clean installation of a 64-bit version. For instructions on how to perform a clean installation, see Installing and reinstalling Windows. For more information about installing and upgrading 64-bit versions of Windows, go to Installation choices for Windows Vista (64-bit) online.

Hello, I'm working with another program that only supports 16bit Fits rather than 32bit. Currently APP is saving as 32bit, and I can't seem to find an option to change this to 16. Is there a way to change the bit depth APP saves for fits files to 16?

Vincent, my source files are all 16 bit fits. If I calibrate my lights and save the resulting data as fits, the files are 32bit. I thought perhaps the ability do change the output to 16bit fits was already present in APP and I was overlooking it. It's not something I would need to do on a regular basis, so not a big priority by any means. Thanks

Does this also happen when the (create 32-bit masters) option is unselected? If so, I have to say I don't think it does output to 16-bit in another way. Not that I'm aware of at least, never used photoshop to process further so never encountered it as a problem, but I certainly think it should be an option (@mabula-admin).

In 2) Calibrate, if you let APP create 32bits Masters, then the calibrated data will always be 32bits. If you disable the creation of 32bits masters, then the calibrated data will still be 16bits IF the light frames are 16bits. If the light frames are 32bits, then the calibrated frames will be 32bits as well.

Now if you create an integration, the result will always be 32bits in APP. The data normalization in 5) Normalize will convert all 8bit & 16bit data to 32bits. This is required for good data normalization and also ensures that APP, as an application, has no issue with normalizing data of different bit depths of different sources (different camera's/captures software).

So the integration will always be 32bits. However if you load the integration into the image viewer by double clicking on it, you can save it to another data format and/or depth with the save button below the histogram. You will be able to save it with or without a stretch applied. So if you just want the 32bits integration converted to 16bits then:

Now, I would always recommed to not do this. You will be throwing away data which is very important to get a good processed result after stretching the data. So if you want to save the 32bits integration as 16bits, at least apply some stretch on it before saving it to 16bits.

Another (perhaps very stupid) question is if I need to save normalized light frames on the disk before the integration. If I don't have to, I'd not have the disk space issue (the processing time is still an issue, though).

First post your issue in a new forum topic, in the appropriate subforum, and please only try to upload your data when we ask you to do so. Upload details will be provided then. When the upload is approved, please make a folder with your name and issue, like "mabula-register-mosaic". The upload server address is :
