Download Microsoft Authenticator Without Google Play

Does anyone use MS authenticator on Lineage? When I open it it said it can't work because Google play service not installed. From when Microsoft app depends on Google to work? Such a shame. Any suggestion to fix it or a substituted app?
At a customers office they have a workstation setup with windows 7 and has spotify installed they are using to play music thru the office. The office manager is now working from home for a few months so the goal is now to be able to connect to this machine remotely but be able to keep the audio playing on the local side without it stopping when the remote connection is made. She needs to be able to get in and work in quickbooks, but not disrupt the spotify audio.
StFX recommends the authenticator app as the security method to get back into your account if ever locked out. The authenticator app does not rely on SMS for code authentication so is a good option for those who travel frequently without SMS coverage.
Visit the Apple app store or Google play store on your device and install the Microsoft Authenticator app. Alternatively, the authenticator application can be downloaded directly to your desktop using the Microsoft Authenticator Website or by scanning the QR code with your phone.
