Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android. Our goal is to provide free and open access to a large catalog of apps without restrictions, while providing a legal distribution platform accessible from any browser, and also through its official native app.

If your looking for a fun, simple racer with awesome graphics, then Reckless Racing HD might be for you. Playing this game reminds of RC Pro Am Racing on the original Nintendo, or NES. The premise is simple; beat other racers to win the championship.

The game is played with an overhead isometric view. There are several different control options, but I enjoy the default which is gas and break on the far right and left and right turn arrow on the left, the control is spot on too.

Starting off with the game you get a brief tutorial which also allows you to try out the different controls in real-time. Just tap the one you want to try while playing and you are good to go. Next, you can complete in a championship and more. There are three different classes to choose from; bronze, silver and gold. I personally had no challenge at all on bronze, so I bumped it up right to gold and had a blast. As you race there are obstacles to avoid, but the biggest challenge is just staying on the road! The game has you racing laps on dirt, gravel and paved roads and each feels succinctly different.

There are a few obstacles to watch out for while you race like cans, barrels and boxes. But what is great is that if you are a slick enough driver, you can discover nice shortcuts to help you through the level. The 8 tracks had me wanting a little more levels, though if you place first in the track you unlock the reverse course. I did find the three game modes (race, hot lap and delivery) to be fun as well.

The bonus with this game is with the multiplayer. You get 4 player racing online with Reckless Racing and it adds a whole other level racing with real people. You have leader boards and can save ghosts too. The only real issue I had with the multiplayer aspect is that you don't know if people are in the middle of a race till you enter their game. If they are racing, you have to wait till the race is over to join. I wish there was a way to see what games were already racing so you could find a game that much easier, or a quick match might work too.

Overall Reckless Racing HD is a blast to play, but is just shy of total greatness due to a few nicks here and there. However, I am sure EA will have new levels and cars with downloadable content soon.

Any person who engages in a race between two or more motor vehicles on the highways in the Commonwealth or on any driveway or premises of a church, school, recreational facility, or business property open to the public in the Commonwealth shall be guilty of reckless driving, unless authorized by the owner of the property or his agent. When any person is convicted of reckless driving under this section, in addition to any other penalties provided by law the driver's license of such person shall be suspended by the court for a period of not less than six months nor more than two years. In case of conviction the court shall order the surrender of the license to the court where it shall be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of 46.2-398.

Parents need to know that Reckless Racing HD is a fast-paced, physics-based racing game that includes a multiplayer mode with online chat. Set in Dixie and playing off Southern stereotypes (think Dukes of Hazzard), the game pits you in a series of races and delivery missions where you compete against either other drivers or the clock. Cars get banged around, but there's no real violence to speak of -- and while some people might object to the good ol' boy caricatures, the hooting and hollering heard on screen isn't mean-spirited in the least. This iPad app features higher definition graphics and more tracks than the $.99 iPhone/iPad Reckless Racing.

RECKLESS RACING HD is, simply put, one of the best racing games on the iPad. It doesn't take itself seriously. It's easy to pick up and play. And it doesn't overstay its welcome. Races are short, fast, and full of hairpin turns. Even multiplayer is an easy affair, not requiring -- or requesting -- anything other than a username (and you don't even need to provide that). The graphics are wonderful. The game lets you choose your difficulty settings and comes with a hefty number of tracks. The user interface takes a little while to get used to, but once you do, this is a hard app to put down.

I love drifting. As I tuck myself into bed, I can be heard to whisper "Good night, Dorikin". So when I read that Reckless Racing, so long anticipated on the Droid Forums gaming section, had finally been released, I immediately bought it from the market.

My first impressions weren't particularly positive. The country hick theme (RR was formerly known as Deliverace) did not appeal to me, and the single-thumb control scheme was terrible. It didn't feel like it had been worth the wait, especially after a 20 minute download for the game data.

Close to uninstalling the game out of frustration, I checked into the game options. Lo and behold, there was a generous selection of control layouts available. Having selected the "Tank" method, with steering buttons on either side of the screen, I decided to give Reckless Racing a second shot.

Wow. The obstacle of stupid controls now removed, I was able to actually focus on the game itself. RR's clever physics and gorgeous scenery totally knocked me out. The sound effects are brilliant and the opponents provide a real challenge. As soon as you pull off that first powerslide, just clipping the apex (or hay bale) you're entranced. Irksome set-up notwithstanding, Reckless Racing is one of the most immediately impressive games I've played on Android.

Upon starting the game, you are asked to register for an online account with the game publisher Polarbit. This account tracks your best times, gives you world rankings, and also allows you to race against other racers online in Multiplayer mode.

You are also given a choice of Beginner and Advanced controls. The former goes for a more arcade style type of handling, with a lot of seamless drifting and no braking in sight. On the other hand, Advanced requires a lot more attention to speed and angle, otherwise you will find yourself sliding very wide around corners and losing precious seconds. There are six vehicles to chose from, ranging from Big Rig to Muscle Car.

As mentioned, the graphics of Reckless Racing are gorgeous. The game is presented in a "2.5D" top-down style, reminiscent of the PlayStation Portable classic KillZone Liberation. Unfortunately this beauty does present a bit of a problem if your phone is not up to scratch in terms of horsepower (no pun intended). Despite the Nexus One's powerful CPU, the weak GPU proved a bottleneck and caused some stuttering framerate issues in busy sections. Thankfully I'm more of a Time Attack kind of guy, so I didn't encounter this slowdown very often, with no other cars on the screen. Even with lower powered ARM11 phones the Hot Lap mode may be playable: the ZTE Blade ran it acceptably, even with its 600 Mhz processor and WVGA resolution . It's up to you whether you want to pay full-price for only a fraction of what the game has to offer.

So, the price. Reckless Racing is $2.99 in the Android market. My previous favourite game, MiniSquadron!, is the same price and nowhere near as immersive. Not only that, but the replay value added by the inclusion of online racing makes it worth the price alone. It doesn't quite have the pick-up-and-play-ability of the Angry Birds juggernaut, but in my eyes it eclipsed Rovio's chart-topper as soon as I realized I had drifting in my pocket.

A charge of reckless driving for drag racing should be taken seriously. This is no mere traffic ticket that allows you to pay a fine and move on. The consequences of a conviction could affect your life for years to come, but with the help of an experienced traffic defense attorney you may be able to minimize some of those consequences and improve your outcome.

Virginia Code 46.2-865 makes it a form of reckless driving to participate in a race between two or more vehicles on public streets or highways, or in the driveway or premises of a church, school, recreational facility, or business open to the public.

Drag racing can be either a misdemeanor or a felony crime depending upon the circumstances. The general rule is that a reckless driving charge for racing is a Class 1 misdemeanor. This type of misdemeanor is punishable in Virginia by up to one year in jail. The possible punishment also may include a fine of up to $2,500.
