7 February 2015 - The yarn/fiber spread has further declined in January in China whereas moving into different directions in India and Pakistan. Our monthly report compares cotton fiber and yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan, offering a comprehensive view of the yarn/fiber spreads in the three countries. These gross margins of domestic spinners are displayed on a monthly basis with historical data back to 2007 being available for download.
Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)
9 February 2015 - Cotton prices continued sharply rebounding in the past week. A significantly lower production is predicted for the next season, as a result of the sharp fall of prices in the last year. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and physical indicator "A Index". Quarterly, year-to-date and annual data covering the 2010-2014 period are available for download.

Minimum Wages in Apparel Manufacturing Countries (Statistical Report)
11 February 2015 - Minimum wages are being increased in a series of Asian apparel manufacturing countries at the start of 2015. Effective implementatioin could however take time, as already observed in the last year in Bangladesh. Apparel exports could be negatively affected in countries like Cambodia, where the low labor costs are the sole advantage offered to domestic industry. In other countries like Vietnam, a new increase of minimum wages will not impact the fast development of sales to US and EU clothing markets.

Polyester Fiber and Filament Yarn Prices in China (Weekly Report)
11 February 2015 - Polyester fiber prices have remained very firm in the last days, whatever the depressing effect of imminent lunar year holidays in China. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.
