9 March 2015 - The positive effect of the rebound of crude oil prices is apparently fading with PTA and MEG prices now falling in China over ample inventories. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain, including Paraxylene (PX), PTA, MEG, polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)
9 March 2015 - Cotton prices have further declined in the last week in New York, confirming the end of the recent rally. Prices could however rebound over the long term as global production is expected to slide in the next season. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and physical indicator "A Index". U.S. Apparel Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)
9 March 2015 - US apparel imports more significantly declined in January, with Chinese shipments sharply dropping in volume terms from their level a year earlier. This is reflected by our statistical report covering monthly US apparel import data, with historical trends being analyzed over the last 10 years, including cotton vs man-made fiber apparel, and China vs Rest of World (RoW).
Polyester Fiber & Yarn Price Comparison: China vs. India and Pakistan (Statistical Report)
10 March 2015 - Polyester prices have risen in February in China whereas dropping in Pakistan and India with gross margins of spinners moving in different directions. Our monthly report compares polyester staple fiber and polyester spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan, in both local currency terms and US$ terms. Gross margins of spinners are also calculated on a monthly basis. Historical data back to 2007 are available for download.
China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)
10 March 2015 - China's yarn imports are apparently rebounding, as domestic production remains less competitive than expected after the fall of cotton prices. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang) and Changyi (Shandong). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Historical data are available for download.

11 March 2015 - Apparel exports from Bangladesh have been severely hit by the consequences of the Rena Plaza tragedy, nearly two year ago. Exports to the US market have begun already declining whereas shipments to the European Union have clearly slowed down in key product categories. Our statistical tables provide a comprehensive view of Bangladesh's clothing exports, including per destination and per HS 4-digit category, also covering the latest US and EU apparel import data per product category. Volume, value and unit price changes are released with all data available for download.
India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)
11 March 2015 - Cotton yarn prices are rising in India, over a stronger demand on the domestic and international markets. Our comprehensive review of Indian yarn markets covers the domestic markets in Ludhiana (Punjab), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), Bhilwari (Rajasthan) and Indore (Madhya Pradesh) markets, with a wide range of products, including cotton yarns (carded and combed), polyester spun, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose and polyester-acrylic. Export market prices are also available for both cotton and polyester-cotton.
Polyester Fiber and Filament Yarn Prices in China (Weekly Report)
11 March 2015 - Polyester staple fiber prices are now slightly declining in China after producers failed in raising their offers in the post-holiday period. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.

PRICE DATABASE:We have added polyester filament prices to our polyester chain tables in our database, allowing to compare crude oil, with paraxylene, PTA, MEG, PSF and now PFY on a daily and monthly basis.
We have also added historical series for the polyester filament indicator in China, in addition to our long-term PFY prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang).

Spandex and PTMEG Prices in China (Monthly Report)
12 March 2015 - Spandex prices have begun very slightly decreasing in the last days, reflecting a fall of raw material costs. BDO prices are now expected decreasing, with THF and PTMEG following the same way. Our monthly report covers spandex and PTMEG prices on the domestic Chinese market, with latest trends of gross margins at spandex plants on a daily and monthly basis. Daily data over the last 12 months are available for download.
Viscose Staple Fiber and Filament Prices in China (Weekly Report)
12 March 2015 - Viscose prices have stopped rising in China, in line with a lack of demand in the period following lunar year holidays. Our weekly report covers the viscose/rayon staple fiber and filament markets over the last 12 months. Viscose spun yarn prices are also available. Cotton linter, cotton pulp and wood pulp prices on domestic and import markets are being tracked over the last 12 months, in addition.
Nylon/Polyamide and Caprolactam Market Prices in China (Monthly Report)
10 March 2015 - Nylon prices began bottoming out in China over a sharp increase of raw material costs and a rebound in demand from downward textile producers.
