US Apparel Imports in 1st Quarter 2015: Categories (Statistical Report)

11 May 2015 - Polyester chain prices are moving into different directions dependig on daily trends. The PTA and MEG prices could however continue rising until production levels will rebound in Asia. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain, including Paraxylene (PX), PTA, MEG, polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)
11 May 2015 - Cotton prices have slightly declined on the international market, however further soaring in India where demand is reportedly strong. China is today off due to Dragon Boat Festival. As a result, a large number of tables in our price database have not been updated.

Yarn prices today dropped on the international market after they last week surged, especially polyester, and poly-cotton yarn prices.

Yarn prices have last week slightly increased on the Faisalabad market in Pakistan where low-count prices have recently surged.

30 June 2015 - The global cotton yarn trade has been last year depressed by a fall of prices and a sharp drop of demand from China, a year after Chinese imports suddenly surged. Exports from India and Pakistan have been negatively affected, as a result, whereas Vietnam emerged as a key player on the market, as both a supplier and a buyer. Our statistical report covers global exports and imports of cotton yarns, with detailed data for exports from India, Pakistan, China and the United States and for imports to China and Bangladesh. 1 July 2015 - India's clothing exports continued enjoying a double-digit growth in the last fiscal year (April 2014-March 2015). Unit prices in rupee terms have however stopped surging in most product categories, as exporters maintained their US$ prices at the same level than a year earlier. Our report provides a comprehensive view of Indian apparel export data in 2014-15, per major destination and per HS 4-digit product category. Unit prices have been calculated in rupee and US$ terms. Historic data are also released covering the last ten fiscal years. Variations have been calculated in volume, value and unit value terms. All data can be easily downloaded through our csv files.
