PRICE REPORTS

Polyester Fiber and Filament Yarn Prices in China (Weekly Report)
30 November 2016 - Polyester staple fiber prices have slightly risen in the last days in China, thanks to a high level of operating rates at PSF plants. The agreement by OPEC members to reduce their production should not affect the polyester fiber and intermediate markets. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison of polyester staple fibers with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.

Pakistan Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)
30 November 2016 - Spinners' margins have risen in the last days in Pakistan as yarn prices were boosted by strong demand and higher cotton prices in line with the sudden ban of Indian imports, our correspondent reports. Our weekly review offers a comprehensive picture of the domestic and export yarn markets in Pakistan, with cotton yarns, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose, polyester spun and viscose spun prices being covered. All these weekly data are available for download over a 12-month period.

India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)
30 November 2016 - Cotton prices are now declining in India, with larger arrivals from the new crop reaching markets and exports to Pakistan being suspended. Lower material costs and a weaker rupee should boost cotton yarn exports from India. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic markets in Ludhiana (Punjab) and Indore (Madhya Pradesh), with a wide range of products and counts, including cotton yarns (carded and combed), polyester spun, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose and polyester-acrylic. Export market prices are also available for both cotton and polyester-cotton.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)
29 November 2016 - Yarn prices are supported by a slight increase of material costs in China. Imports from India and Indonesia have surged in October, as reflected by our series of statistical tables. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. All data are available for download.

Vietnam Apparel Exports in January-September 2016 (Quarterly Report)
29 November 2016 - Vietnam's apparel exports have slowed down in the first three quarters of the year, before the duty-free agreement with the United States has been scrapped and Vietnamese textile prospects suddenly weakened. Our report includes Vietnam's latest clothing export data per month and destination and provides comprehensive data for US imports per quota category and EU imports per HS 4-digit categories over the 2011-2016 period. Quarterly unit prices and trends are calculated over the last five years.

Inflation in Emerging Countries (Monthly Report)
28 November 2016 - Inflation rates could now bottom out after having been kept under control in the past months. The US elections have triggered a rise of long-term yields, which could be rapidly transmitted to the global economy. The jump of the dollar is also resulting in higher import prices in many countries, in local currency terms. Our monthly report offers a comparison of inflation rates in low-cost countries, with historical data available back to June 2007. Impact of currency changes vs the US dollar, the euro and the Sterling is also calculated to assess real terms of trade for exporters.
