16 August 2017 - US apparel imports from China have sharply rebounded in volume terms in the second quarter this year, with Vietnamese shipments further surging at the same time. Both countries now account for more than 50% of total US apparel imports whereas other nations have not been able to compete. E.U. Clothing Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)
22 August 2017 - EU clothing imports have been depressed in June, confirming the downward trend of the first half. The continuous decline of the euro from a year earlier has no helped whereas low-income countries have not been able to further cut their prices. The current rebound of the euro could rapidly reverse importing trends, however. Our report covers monthly EU clothing import data, with historical trends being analyzed, and a specific focus on China vs Rest of World (RoW) and Bangladesh, and on knit vs woven clothing. EU Clothing Imports in 2nd Quarter and 1st Half 2017: Categories (Quarterly Report)
12 September 2017 - EU clothing imports have declined in many product categories in the second quarter and the first half this year, due to a weaker fall or even a rise in unit prices. Buyers have found limits in reducing prices, although the current rebound of the euro could now reduce prices and consecutively boost imports in volume terms. Statistical tables are published with volume, value and unit value changes in euro and US$ terms, covering 61 and 62 HS chapters (knit and woven clothing). China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Minimum Wages in Apparel Manufacturing Countries (Statistical Report)
1 December 2017 - Minimum wages will be raised in most low-income Asian countries as of January, as detailed in our below report, except in Myanmar where the new level of minimum wages is still being discussed and in Bangladesh where apparel exporters have themselves suggested to increase the minimum wage in order to avoid strikes and social unrest. Our report displays minimum wages in Asian and Latin American apparel manufacturing countries, with annual increases as of Janaury 1st 2018 in local currency and US$ terms, compared with 2015, 2016 and 2017. EU Clothing Imports in 3rd Quarter and Jan-Sep 2017: Categories (Quarterly Report)
1 December 2017 - EU clothing imports have slowed down in most product categories in the third quarter this year, although unit prices have declined in euro terms, due to a rebound of the European currency. As usual, sharp differences can be observed depending on HS 4-digit categories. 21 December 2017 - Nylon 6 prices have declined in the last five weeks in China, over a lack of demand. Caprolactam prices have stayed stable over tighter supply. Prices and profits should continue rising at polyamide plants in 2018, nevertheless.
