Hi members of Terrapin Objectivists,

Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing summer break. :) Here are a few updates for the fall semester:

Most of you already know, from David Crawford's message at the end of last semester, that I'll be acting President of the club while David is studying abroad in Hong Kong this semester. If we haven't met yet, feel free to send me a message! I look forward to meeting all of you at our meetings and lectures.

FIRST LOOK FAIR
This Wednesday and Thursday, 9/17 and 9/18, the Terrapin Objectivists club has a table reserved from 10am-3pm at UMD's annual First Look Fair, where we'll have a chance to introduce our club to new students and old students interested in learning more about the Objectivist philosophy.
Veteran members - we need your help! If you'd like to help staff the table anytime 10-3 on Wed or Thu, send me an e-mail with the times you are available - emi.b...@gmail.com. Thanks! All you will need to do is talk about the basics of our club's purpose and the fundamentals of Objectivism. I will send out a note with more information to anyone who wants it.

LECTURES
Our club will be hosting Dr. Andrew Bernstein on Thursday, November 13th for his lecture "Religion versus Morality". Mark your calendars! This promises to be an interesting and controversial lecture, and we look forward to a big crowd. Time and place TBA.
