Terrapin Objectivists for Fall 2008

Most of you know I'm going to be studying abroad in Hong Kong this
fall, and while I'd love to run this club via Skype, it just doesn't
seem very practical. Instead, Emily Barnes will be taking over for
now, as Interim President. Interim here just means that there's the
potential for other members who may be excited about taking initiative
in the club to step up and do that. Though she expects to be busy
with many activities next year, I think she is a very capable person
and will put a lot of energy into planning lectures, recruiting new
members, and creating an environment for studying Objectivism. I'll
be working with her toward the end of the summer in order to set up a
speaker series for the semester, and she'll get a lot of support from
the Ayn Rand Institute as well.
So congratulations to Emily (who will be getting in touch with you
soon), and I look forward to returning in the Spring to a thriving
club.
