Our Estate Destiny Ridge Vineyard was slated to become a rock quarry before we planted on this unique vineyard site. Today, we are honored for the natural beauty and terroir afforded to us by this amazing location and we are pleased to share it with you. The 2019 Quarry Butte features an elegantly expressive six varietal blend capturing the unique terroir of Destiny Ridge Vineyard. This red blend showcases decadent aromas of raspberry, cassis, blackberry, and graphite followed by and subtle hints of tobacco and dill. Richly layered, yet balanced, the palate is concentrated with ripe raspberry, blueberry, cherry, and cedar box. Please decant, and enjoy!
Boxley produces aggregate that meets AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) specifications. Each quarry produces different gradations and sizes based on market demand and plant capacity. Our product data sheets provide specific details on each area.

Regulation 47 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Quarries) Regulations, 2008 requires that an adequate written blast specification, including identification of the danger zone based on an assessment of the risks, is prepared by the explosives supervisor for each shotfiring operation at the quarry to ensure that, so far as is reasonably practicable, when such shotfiring occurs, it will not give rise to danger.
The purpose of the blasting specification is to minimise the risk associated with the firing of shots. The blasting specification must be specific to each blast, to take account of site conditions. The blasting specification may need to be updated in light of any information received from the Driller/Drill Log or the Shotfirer on the day of the blast
Detailed information on the Duties of the preparation of a blasting specification is in Part 5 (Explosives) of the SAFE QUARRY GUIDELINES TO THE SAFETY, HEALTH AND WELFARE AT WORK (QUARRIES) REGULATIONS 2008.

Established in 1947, Colorado Rose Red granite quarry has been owned & operated by the Liesveld for 76 years. Having origins in Holland as master stone cutters, the Liesveld family migrated to the United States to continue the three-century tradition.
Situated in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Colorado Rose Red is located just outside of Estes Park, CO. This is where 3 generations of Liesvelds have operated from. The current owner, Gary Kay works closely with Dan Liesveld, Master Quarryman and Mike Liesveld, Master Stonecutter to carry on the family legacy. Caleb Liesveld sold the quarry to Gary Kay recently.
Composed of red feldspar, black mica and white quartz, Colorado Rose Red Granite stands to be one of the most durable stones in the world, with its origin is at 8000ft in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. CRR has the density, strength and durability to meet any and all specified requirements for any applications in any industry.
CRR holds a razor sharp edge and has wonderful contract for sand blasting. Its high crushing strength and low absorption rate make it perfect for commercial building projects. While in slab form it polishes to a glass like finish providing a beautiful counter top or monument that personifies the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
The DJL patented water-jet channeling machine uses extreme high pressure water to cut channels in the quarry to relieve blocks from the mountain. We have been using this type of machine in the quarrying process for 30 years now. It is unique in its ability to cut rooms in the mountain to get to the best stone. All other alternative processes require the operator to quarry from the top of the mountain down removing everything as they quarry the mountain. Dan Liesveld Sr. and Dan Liesveld Jr. invented the process and machine out of necessity when other quarrying methods did not meet their needs.
This is a textured finish used primarily for outdoor applications such as pavers and panels. As an alternative to flaming the water-jet surface provides a safe walking surface, which does not jeopardize any color or structural integrity of the stone. It is offered in coarse, medium and fine.
Among the benefits of ceramic tile are resistance to weather, chemicals and wear. One of the heartiest types of tile is unglazed quarry tile (sometimes also referred to as klinker tile). You are probably familiar with quarry tile in restaurants; it is often found in the kitchen, bathrooms and sometimes the eating areas. However, quarry tile is also used in applications such as breweries, food-processing facilities and dairies because it holds up well in these harsh cleaning environments. Quarry tile is manufactured using an extrusion process. Below are some tips and tricks for a successful installation in commercial kitchens that may help an installer more familiar with installing porcelain tiles.
