TheRape Aggression Defense System for Women is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. RAD Systems provides comprehensive courses that begin with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by certified RAD Instructors and provide you with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire Physical Defense Program for reference and continuous personal growth. The RAD System of physical defense is currently being taught at many colleges and universities. The growing, wide spread acceptance of this system is primarily due to the ease, simplicity and effectiveness of our tactics, solid research, legal defensibly and unique teaching methodology.
The RAD Systems is dedicated to teaching defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense/martial arts tactics. Our system of realistic defense will provide participants with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance.
Space is limited. Reservations are required. Many classes have filled well in advance of the start date. Once the class has been filled we will not allow anyone else to register for it. In the rare event that a class has less than 5 people sign up that class will be canceled. Priority will be given in the next available class.

These Instructors teach at various colleges, universities, and municipal law enforcement agencies as well as various other community organizations internationally. R.A.D. has trained more than 900,000 women throughout the U.S. and Canada since the program began in 1989.
The R.A.D. system will provide students with the knowledge to make an educated decision about personal defense. We provide information on physical and non-physical options, as well as insight into the attacker mindset.
Every student receives a manual for reference and practice. Once a student has completed a R.A.D. program, their signed manual becomes a ticket for free lifetime return and practice with any R.A.D. instructor in the US and Canada.

Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) is a FREE, four-day, national program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques taught for women only. All courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. instructors.
The goal of R.A.D. is to provide realistic self-defense options to women, regardless of their level of physical conditioning. Students at all levels of ability, age, experience, and strength will be provided with techniques and information that can be effectively used from the first day of class. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program, nor does it require students to be athletes in training to succeed.

The RAD for Women course is open to students, faculty and staff members who identify as women. This is a comprehensive course for women which begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance and progresses to the basics of a hands-on defense training program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques.
RAD for Men was developed by RAD Systems in 2001. This course also has its foundations in education and awareness. The course includes lecture, discussion and self-defense techniques and is open to students, faculty and staff members who identify as men. It is suitable for men of all ages and abilities.

The R.A.D. Class with the Weber Morgan County Sheriff's Offices
The R.A.D. Women's self-defense course with the Weber & Morgan County Sheriff's Offices is open to all women ages 12 and up. This comprehensive course is $75 per participant. This is not a martial arts program,but rather an opportunity to learn what a woman's personal weapons are and how to use them. This course is a 16 hour self-defense course with simple-to-learn techniques. It teaches 27 hands on techniques in addition to 14 Kubaton techniques through the Key-chain defense option. The 16 hour course is broken down into 5 days with 3 hours each day and 4 hours on the last day of class. A portion of class time will be spent on risk reduction strategies and safety, while the majority of time in class will be spent on learning the physical self-defense techniques. The final day consists of a simulation exercise as an opportunity to practice the techniques the students havebeen taught in a controlled situation with an instructor as an aggressor.

The Olivette Police Department is partnering with other local police departments to offer a free R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) training class for women. The course consists of four 3-hour classes and utilizes proven and easy-to-learn self-defense tactics that provide women with the knowledge and skills to defend against various types of assault.
