Tickets are on sale, the set for the first and second night costs 20 euros in total, while individual tickets for the first night can be purchased for 15 euros, and for the second 10 euros. Entrance is free on the third night at the Goove stage.
The biggest Italian star, Cukero, will perform for the first time in Podgorica and Montenegro on Sunday, July 2, on the open fields of the Bemax arena, and with his concert he will open the eighth edition of the City Groove festival. This year's festival will be held from July 2 to 4 in the capital of Montenegro on two stages - City (Bemax arena) and Groove (Kolektor).
Cukero, whose real name is Adelmo Fornaciari, is a popular Italian musician who has achieved great success both in his native Italy and around the world. During his career, he sold more than 60 million records.
He started his musical career in the early eighties, and released his first album "Un po' di Zucchero" in 1983. His musical style is very characteristic because it combines rock, blues, soul and pop music. He is also recognizable for his powerful vocal interpretation and emotional expression in his songs.
Zukero became famous outside of Italy thanks to his collaborations with international music stars such as Paolo Nutini, Eric Clapton, Luciano Pavarotti, Sting, Bryan Adams, The Blues Brothers, Bon Vox, Joe Cocker, Miles Davis, Peter Gabriel, BB King, Brian May, Iggy Pop and others. His hits like "Senza una donna" (Without a Woman) and "Baila (Sexy Thing)" became successful all over the world, but are still enjoyed today.
He is known for holding impressive tours that attract a large number of fans. His concerts are always characterized by spectacular production, energetic performances and a vivid atmosphere, so it will be the same on Sunday.
The second day of the festival, July 3, is also reserved for fans of a harder sound. With their performance, the era of the City Groove festival in 2015 was made official, and this time the legendary Croatian band Parni Valjak arrives with a new singer, Igor Dvenkar.
Drvenkar is one of the most promising Croatian singers, and has won numerous awards at festivals. He performed on stage in the musicals "Resurrection", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Legend of Ružica-grada" and "Beauty and the Beast", and from 2015 to 2022 he was the frontman of the group Gea, with whom he recorded an original album. Drvenkar is known to a wider audience as the best vocalist of the cult show A Strana, which is broadcast on HRT.
On the third evening of the festival, July 4, the program will take place on the Groove stage in Kolektor, and local producers Buba and Lerr b2b, who are already well-known to fans of electronic sound in Montenegro, will be in charge of a good time, and the curtain on the eighth edition of the City Groove festival will be brought down by the Italian DJ and producer Lehar.
