andi just installed Aida64 to do some stability testing for my 5.0 overclock on my 9700k and long behold i go to open msi afterburner and now aida64 opens ever time i open afterburner any help would be appreciated
Looks like my problem has been resolved. The culprit turned out to be my password manager, KeePass. When I close that, all my issues are resolved. So if any of you have a password manager installed and open, close it and see if that helps.
Deleting "Adobe After Effects 14.2 Prefs.txt" (Windows location: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\14.2) before opening After Effects seems to fix the problem once. After closing After Effects and opening it again without removing the preference file, it crashes.
Are there any updates from Adobe? I work in a team environment and we are all having problems upgrading from 14.0 to 14.1 and 14.2. Several team members are not seeing any updates after 14.0, and the rest of us cannot open 14.2 and have to revert to 14.1 in order to continue working.
I too have the same problem as everyone else here. I'm able to make few changes in my project but in couple of minutes the whole thing crashes. What am I able to do to fix this? Come on Adobe we are paying customers and we need answers! Our jobs are depending on it so could you please care just a little bit???
Your issue sounds very different from the one that started this thread. Since you are able to open AE and get to work, your issue is not the same! Please start a new thread and give us as much information as you can. We'll try to help you. If you want help from Adobe and not just your fellow users like me, you can contact Adobe support (but heed the advice I just gave in bold in my previous post).
Well thanks but the support chat is currently disabled for some reason (probably because After Effects cc 2017.2 version is so filled with bugs that everyone's contacting you all the time and your support crew can't stand the heat).
I've had these same issues, and more, since updating to Ae 2017. Apparently, there is no fix available. Thus far, the only thing that has worked for me is, after starting my system in the morning, I immediately start Ae first, before anything else. After it opens, I then open Pr. From that point on, I never close either one of them, just leave them open until I shut things down at night.
I do this because, on my system, it seems that after I open and run any other software, the odds are, I will never get Ae to open, even after deleting 1-4 Ae proccesses I find still running in the background. I almost always have to restart my system, and Ae has to be the very first app I open.
Pr can't even find the Ae project I imported unless Ae is open. In fact, I had to have Ae open just to import the Ae project into Pr because the dynamic link failed. And, yes, I have deleted preferences and uninstalled/reinstalled, all to no avail.
I have this problem at work and have programs for security and other related programs that load on start-up which I cannot disable. When you start AE first does that include programs that are opening from start-up commands? Curious, because if you even got it to open in 14.2 at all that is more than I can currently get working. I will be trying this today...
Hi TaikoUwU, if you're still experiencing this crash, can you please submit a support ticket with the information you've provided here along with your log files? You can find your log files by opening the Warframe launcher after the game has crashed, clicking the little cogwheel in the corner of the launcher, then selecting Get Logs.
Once you have your logs, you can send us a support ticket here.
What happened to the result of this ticket? I have a similar issue with MSI Afterburner and Warframe crashing.
Having a solution at the end of a ticket would be nice to see for future clients that have problems.
@PsykoMcNasty Their solution I believe was to just uninstall or disable the offending software, which is at the bottom of their support article for crashing: -us/articles/212890418-What-should-I-do-if-my-game-keeps-crashing- . You'd probably need to contact the tool developer if you want them to look into compatibility without issues, and they could work with DE where applicable. This doesn't appear to be limited to Warframe either, I'm seeing reports of Destiny, WoW, Photolab 2, etc. all crashing or having freezes due to the monitoring software used (I believe RTSS - Rivatuner Statistic Server is used).
Tools like afterburner that allow changing clock and memory speeds can cause this sort of thing even without monitoring tools running, since generally OEMs and chip manufacturers have spec'd the chips to run at certain speeds, voltages, and temperatures. You could squeeze a little more performance out of it if you've got some good chip lottery luck, but it's honestly best to just leave it set at whatever the OEM has set (i.e. MSI provided an overclocked GPU, they've extensively tested that it can handle that overclock so that's fine) or some automatic mode unless you're willing to deal with lots of crashes and troubleshooting as you tweak things.

The curious thing is I logged in before and an auth cookie is set so I can browse the site after that. When opening the developer tools the password prompt shows up again. When I close it and hit refresh I'm still logged in.
When inspecting the server log it shows another GET request is made to the current page in the moment opening the developer tools. But it seems the auth cookie is not sent in this one request (401 Unauthorized). Navigating the site with dev tools open after this automatic request then works without logging in again.
I recently installed Linux Gecko alongside with already install Ubuntu. After the installation the computer is automatically booted with Linux Ubuntu without giving me the option to select the other distro. I cannot open BIOS menu to change the boot order, so I cannot access to the other distro. The issue with opening BIOS is that when I hold down F2 (my BIOS key) the screen stuck at initial "ACER" logo. Without pressing F2 it starts up normally with Ubuntu. Please find the steps I did for installing Gecko with dual booting below:
HI, I am trying to set up my new winwing throttle and am having trouble figuring out when exactly in the sim, the AB kicks in....given there are several indications, these being the visual condition of teh engine , nozzle position, fuel flow and RPM percentage.....
My other question is how can know when AB kicks in from looking visually? Of course, you get the cone effect, but looking directly into the engine, there is certainly a period of time before this happens when the engine is bright red inside. This happens at Nozzle 10%, fuel 18,000 and RPM 102%. Is this the true start of AB? Obviously, I cant set it correctly unless I know when AB is kicking in in the sim......
The other way to judge would be maybe to look at where DCS have marked AB in the controls position indicator widget? If I use this, fule flow is approx 12,000, nozzles zero & RPM 102%. ( It never seems to go beyond 102% though....)
Don't look at the numbers since they may change with altitude. Instead go to external view (active pause on) and look for the fire glow in the engine; that's the beginning of afterburner. I have my throttle set up (not wingwing but the principles are the same) to where afterburner kicks in right after I push past my detent. This corresponds to the sound of the in cockpit detent being pushed through. Note that you may have to select user defined when adjusting your throttle axis in DCS and tweak it to get it exactly where you want it.
Those figures tell you nothing.... those are altitude, weight and speed depended, hell, there is even a difference between a GE and a P&W engine as far as indicators goes. The real throttle has a physical detent, which you need to bypass by lifting the throttle handle and pushing it passed the detent.
Use either the axis indicator (R Ctrl Enter I think) or when the throttle in the cockpit clicks and lifts over the detent. These are consistent indicators. The next best is fuel flow as it will jump when AB turns on, but the numbers will change based on a number of factors.
