Job Title:  Software Production Support Engineer

Location:  Culpeper, VA

Duration:  long term

 

Scope of Work:  

 

In line with team objectives, policies and procedures and under guidance of a more senior team member, to design, develop specifications, code, install, test and maintain high quality application

software and associated tools.  Provide implementation and support for the build-up of the upgrades to Network.

 

01 . Design, develop, test, install and support programs/systems in line with agreed requirements.

02 . Assist with the analysis of requirements and the development of recommendations as to the systems approach to follow.

03 . Prepare specifications, codes, tests, deliverable, acceptance criteria, time frames, etc. and prepare and study the technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed systems solutions.

04 . Analyse the problems, develop and propose solutions to more senior team members.

05 . Provide technical assistance to other SWIFT colleagues and provide guidance to more junior team members in their daily work.

06 . Develop and maintain technical documentation and prepare and give presentations to customers on systems.

07 . Provide timing/scheduling estimates to project lead and propose corrective actions to timelines when necessary.

 

 

Skills/Requirements:	Level: (Junior/Specialist/Expert) Jr = 1-5 yrs / Spec=5-10yrs / Exp= >10 + yrs
Specialist knowledge of HP-UX skills	Specialist
Specialist knowledge of Linux skills	Specialist
Shell scripting - Ksh or Bash skills	Specialist
Oracle DB and SQL skills	Specialist
Application technical support	Specialist
Installation and deployment of software	Specialist
