if the issue does occur with current JDK version 8u201" Well, I'm already running the latest available with Debian jessie-backports. Happened on startup, with a newly logged-in X session, when I slammed it with opening multiple applications at once. Running it again worked, so I'm not going to be able to help. I can't even see how to comment.
