Hi all,
First and foremost i would thank you all, for your replies and
suggestions. Considering the vast geographical distribution of the
apprentice of this course, it was pretty hard to go with live video
sessions for all them.

Few commonly agreed factors among all :

1. The most comfortable day of the week are weekends. So the time
decided is of every Saturdays starting from Sat Jul 9 09:30:00 UTC
2010.

2. Most of them who can't make it to the class have requested for a
recorded session.

The plan :
1. As the most common issue people have suggested with video and
audio
conferences, like big-blue-button, tokbox or skype is the bandwidth
getting clogged, hence the plan is to stick with irc channels.

2. As most of them have requested for the recorded sessions of the
class, two things will be done to satisfy the needs, firstly the irc
logs of the classroom will me mailed in the mailing list, there by
making it easy to get the flow, secondly a notes that would be
prepared per class would also be shared and finally the video
recordings will be uploaded in either on YouTube or vimeo.

Execution:

1. Two channels on irc.freenode.net, by name #terminal-hackers-
classroom and #terminal-hackers-chatroom have been created.

* Classroom channel is where the teaching will happen and no user
either than whom the operator decides to give voice, would be able to
chat here.
* Chatroom channel is meant for everyone to chat and discuss, as the
class in live in the classroom and anyone with doubts could ask there
question with the "question" followed by the question, which would be
forwarded to the classroom and then answered.

P.S : Anyone who would like to be the moderator for the chatroom, do
contact me.

2. You can join the channels from your IRC clients or but just going
to the link :http://is.gd/dlvTO

Do share your ideas and thoughts.

Do you mean Saturday July 10th? Or am I missing something?
Also to be clear, UTC uses a 24 hour clock right? So it's 9:30 AM UTC?

Excellent. For people who are lazy to convert this to their timezone:

"date -u" in the terminal is the current UTC.
