Have you ever canned your bloody mary mix? My husband and I have a very large garden with a massive amount of fantastic tomatoes this season. We have already juiced 3 gallons and are ready to make the bloody mary mix, but would like can so we have enough through the winter (and entertaining through football Sundays and the holidays). Thanks!

Dude, when I found this recipe while grocery shopping, I got what I needed and made this for the misses. She absolutely loves it. Said it was the best bloody mary she ever had. Good job my friend with your winner.

Absolutely divine. I made this for a brunch I was having this weekend. I made the mix the night before and the next morning, I added it to some tomato puree that I had canned this past summer. It was indeed fantastic. I will certainly make this again. Everyone, including myself loved it!

This is an Awesome recipe! I googled because I was canning tomatoes and was trying to figure out something to do with all the extra tomato juice. So I made this recipe and canned it to go with my spicy pickles as a hostess gift or thank you gift. Thanks!

Im a big fan of micheladas (bloody Mary with beer) and have had many made at various bars and restaurants. I made a pitcher of this mix and it is by far the best I have tasted. I drink it with my beer and my wife drinks it without any alcohol and she loves it. Thank you for sharing.

Love this recipe and here are my tweaks.
I use the low sodium trader joes mix and do not add any extra salt.
I add a few tbsps lea and perrins (could use anything) of steak sauce.
Other than that I have stuck to the recipe and love it.
Thanks!

Thank you for the extra tip about the bloody margarita! I never buy prepackaged bloody mary mix anymore. I love playing with the ingredients to modify my mood as well as my guests. The bloody margarita is exceptionally tasty!

I modified the recipe a bit and used chipotle Tabasco sauce and I added 1 tsp of chili powder which added a nice smokey flavor. Being from Texas, we tend to like things a little more spicy so I added a little more Tobasco, horseradish, and worchestershire. My friends and family loved it. What a fabulous recipe, thanks for sharing!

I make it in double recipes. I use less salt. I put it in squeeze ketchup type bottles and keep it in the bar. 4 squirts in a tall glass with 2 oz vodka. Shelf life is not an issue due to total salt content. This is the kickass sauce to Demetries. Much more cost effective. Thanks f0r sharing.

I've looked forward to interviewing Suzi since I started this thing over a year ago - (im)patiently waiting for her to finish her residency so I could pick her brain. In addition to being a kickass doctor, Suzi is just an all-around kickass human and friend. When she isn't saving lives, you can find her surfing, traveling the world, trying out new restaurants or hanging out at local coffee shops with her nose in a book. Suzi, you're an absolute babe, and I want to be you when I grow up. -Chelsea

Where do you think your love for science/STEM comes from? What draws you to medicine?
My father is a chemist and physicist, and from a young age, he encouraged me to keep those doors open. I attended a science camp for girls at the local University when I was in high school, and when I told him I wanted to go to University for either English or Biochemistry, he convinced me to stick with the latter.

Career and/or life advice for other babes?
I know this is cliche, but you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. Never settle. You will spend more than half your waking life working, so pursue something that excites you every day.

I have seen Maxie Zeus' review on it where he completely destroysthe show and the scariest part is that he might have been generous ifonly because he made it through four shorts in one sitting. I triedto watch this show cold (it was the short Stumped that I watched; andlook here; it's the second short to rant on in this review.) and gaveup within the first minute. I don't know why; but that's the shortestamount of time that I have watched the show and be repulsed by it. Ittook three full 22 minutes episodes of Quack Pack before I gave up onthat show I should note. So; I'm going for attempt #2 on it and Ihope I last long enough to do this gig. So we begin with Stumped andDead Man's Drop which is the pilot episode originally written byDevin Bunje and Nick Stanton which was supposed to be a 22 minuteepisode before they left to work on another Disney XD show: Zeke &Luther. So then the episode was split up into two shorts andrewritten. This is NOT a good sign right off the bat. So let's ranton shall we....?!

Dead Man's Drop is written by Chris Savino (who also directed theepisode by the way! Talk about cutting corners) & Nate Knetchel.Stumped is written by Chris Savino & David Shayne. Chris startedin 1994 with Rocko's Modern Life and The Ren & Stimpy Show asanimation director. He went on with Dexter's Laboratory as a writerand has done writing and directing on Whoop Ass Girls...ERRR...I meanKick Ass Girls...ERRR...I mean Lame Ass....SLAP! OUCH! Ummm..I meanPowerpuff Girls, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Ni Hao-Kai-lan,Samurai Jack, Escape From Cluster Prime, Flintstones On The Rocks,What A Cartoon Show and even produced for Johnny Test. He has alsodone work on Hey Arnold, Grim & Evil and My Gym Partner Is AMonkey. I have nothing else on Nate Knetchel (that's two debuts inthe animation world already!). David Shayne started as a writer in2004 with The Wrong Coast and then moved on to Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi,Edgar & Ellen, Phineas & Ferb (Finally; a DTVA writer debut)and Pink Panther & Pals. That's it.

Now if you are wondering about Nick Stanton and Devin Bunje'scredits (the one who originally wrote this as a 22 minute episode):Nick Stanton's credits are all DTVA: Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, TheReplacements, Phineas & Ferb and of course Zeke & Luther.Devin Bunje has the exact same writing credits with one majordifference: He also has system administrator credits for Stan WinstonStudios. That means he worked on: Eight Below, Fantastic Four,Because of Winn-Dixie, The Keeper: The Legend of Omar Khayyam,Garfield The Live Action Movie 2004, The Cat In The Hat Live Action2003 and Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow. For some strangereason; I got to give the slight edge to the current writers over theoriginal ones. As for the animation studio; it's all done on Flash. My opinion on Flash: It works like all mediums. If the talent sucks;then the product is going to suck. Tools don't matter.

DeadMan's Drop:We officially begin the series inside a dark room with Kick puttingon his gloves, boots (he doesn't wear socks as he is barefoot when heputs them on; or his banana yellow boot double as such. EWWWW!) andthen puts on his crash helmet and shines it with a cloth ending withhim snapping his fingers. Wow; what a thrilling way to introduce thelead child character there guys. And this is supposed to be the newDisney's vision of Kit Cloudkicker? If it is; then I might have tosic the Cloudkicker Zombie on the crew of this show. I mean he'ssupposed to be a daredevil and yet he doesn't at least do a bad stuntfrom the start. And why not since this show is basically climax afterclimax or white noise at 11 as Maxie Zeus' claims? Kick slowly walksout of the garage and opens the garage door (I'll give the animator'scredit for using mature lighting here) as an announcer introduces usto Kick Buttowski as we get a shot of the garage from the drivewayangle while bad rock music plays. And you thought the Jonas Brotherswere bad? Notice that Kick has his head down when he walks out? Weare not 15 seconds into this episode and Kick looks ashamed to evenbe in this show. Kick then raises his head and does the double devilsign...and then the garage door drops down on his body. Wow; theyactually let him do a bump that didn't require extreme padding. Ithought Disney hated those kind of bumps.

Now;I know that this is a rib on Super Dave Osborne (which is apporossince Kick is basically a midget version of Super Dave, natch) but itis wimpy beyond belief. And we find out that the announcer is an 11year old fat kid with a red baseball cap, blue shirt, blue/purpleshorts, orange shoes, and blond hair with the NES Zapper color schemeMEGAPHONE OF JIMMY HARTS. He asks if Kick is okay (calling him Kickerwhich adds evidence to my theory that Kick is new Disney's answer toKit Cloudkicker. I would be insulted if I cared and this show wasBETTER than TaleSpin ever was.) and Kick states that it's only painand he manages to lift the garage door without any effort whatsoever.Well; that kills whatever sympathy I had for both characters rightoff the bat. And damn it to hell; that voice does not fit Kick atall. I know that I made fun of Pip from Luminous Arc 2 on his middleage British accent; but at least Pip's voice was amusing. Kick soundslike a chain smoker eating graval. It also makes me question Kick'sage: Is he a real child or a midget?

Wethen cut back to Kick sliding down as he takes out his list (Huh? Ithought Guthner carried that. Well; I gave up on logic breaks a longtime ago which was about two minutes into this thing.) and crossesout the first Brad with his red color pencil. In other words; he hasto do this to Brad five more times before his revenge is complete. Hethen slides in safe as the crowd cheers and I vomit in my mouth againas a cloud of dust kicks the screen as a symbol of the show being soin your face filled of crapiness. Vainglorious pose done and wefinally cut to a far shot of the community street with the full moonshining as everything is in silouette. Then we go to the near shot aswe see Kick and Guthner walking on the street (oh yeah; that makesthem so much like rebels. NOT!) as the kids all praise him for makingBrad look like a million dollars out there. Okay; maybe not, but Iimplied it. I mean; Kick only did a few stunts on his skateboardwhile Brad did all the work of chasing him and wiping out for mypleasure.
