Thanks. So if the files are not identical they are removed from the
library only? Or they have to be exact to be removed period?
Also, I ran the program last night. During the duplicate removal
process I scrolled to the top just to look at how long the list of
removed files was. The process then stopped and at the bottom there
was a message that said to exit press enter. The last noted file that
was removed was still in the 1000's somewhere so I know there were
more to remove. I exited and tried to rerun the program. Each time I
get a message that says to include "temporary playlists" for the
program to run more quickly..............I've tried a few times since
including "temporary playlists" and continue to not only get the same
message, but each time I try, an additional "temporary playlist" is
added to itunes. I tried deleting all the "temporary playlists" and
yet the same message occurs.
When entering the playlist number followed by comma, do you need to
put a space before the next playlist number entered? I tried with and
without to no avail. My initial scan (the one I apparently interupted
by scrolling to the top) the only playlist I entered was the "music"
playlist (the entire music library) and it seemed to be chugging right
along fine. Didn't ask for any "temporary playlist" initially.
Hope I gave you clear enough information for you to give me guidance.
Thanks, Mike
