whenever i try to run the media monkey ratings import script i get an
error to the tune of :

Can't locate MP3/tag.pm in @INC <@INC contains C:/Perl64/site/.lib.. >
at [script path] line 42.

What am I doin wrong?

It sounds like you are running the perl version of the script, is that
true? If so, then you don't have the right MP3 modules installed.

You can either install the required modules, or use the EXE version of
the program

yes that is true...

where can i get the modules? i saw another thread on this group that
said that the script in that package won't work anymore (as it
doesn't) since MM updated the numbers associated with ratings... and
someone posted an updated individual script with the comment "Don't
use the package" [http://groups.google.com/group/teridons-itunes-
programs/browse_thread/thread/64641faa85ae6363]

i've tried running the script with itunes open, closed, songs
selected, unselected and with the Get Info window open... ?

Oh! Right.. sorry, I forgot about that change.

The module you need is MP3::Tag (or MP3-Tag). Use 'ppm' to install
it. 'ppm' is documented here:
http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Downloads/ActivePerl/PPM/

Or, you can wait for me to update the scripts package.

ok i think i got that installed... but now i'm getting another error :

win32::OLE<0.1709> error 0x800401f3 "Invalid class string" at [script
path] line 50

when do you think you'll be updating the package?

I just updated the scripts package.

You can try it, but that error seems to indicate that part of iTunes isn't
installed correctly. It might fail with the same error.

Let me know if it does.

well before I put my foot in my mouth I suppose it always COULD be
that... but i'm curious is anyone else (or YOU) have gotten any of the
scripts to work with iTunes 9.0?

any thoughts on this... still can't get it to work? Curious to hear
from anyone else who's gotten it to work recently...

Well it worked fin until I upgraded itunes so I suspect it's something
about itunes 9. Now when i run the script it tells me I must have
songs selected in itunes, even though I do.
