Growing up in Arizona and California, I was exposed to domestic violence and other adverse childhood experiences. My father and mother fought a lot, and so my mother prioritized getting me involved with sports to bring more stability to my life.
I looked up and saw shadows over me. I prayed to God to let me live. I remember closing my eyes and seeing my life flash before me. I saw a light that kept getting brighter and brighter, and suddenly I woke up in a hospital bed with a tracheostomy tube down my throat.
When I returned to school in a wheelchair after the shooting, a teacher, Jennifer Rauhouse, encouraged me to use what happened to me to help others. Together, we created an anti-violence program at school, and Jennifer now runs an organization called Peer Solutions that addresses the underlying causes of harmful behaviors.
Everytown put a spark under me and made me want to do even more. I worked with other Moms Demand Action volunteers to get the City of Phoenix to issue a proclamation recognizing June 4 as Wear Orange, when we honor victims of gun violence on National Gun Violence Awareness Day. I've walked by this joint many times and always wondered at the crowd. Now that I've finally partaken, I understand. Excellent coffee, but I'm no expert. Pretty good chocolate croissant, not too flaky and buttery, just like it should be. But the "Ultimate" breakfast sandwich was fantastic. Possibly the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The barista recommended avocado and they were right. Highly recommended.
Quirky funky coffee house with great food. English breakfast tea blend was very dark and delicious, coconut French toast was not too sweet and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend's breakfast burrito was excellent I'm told - crunchy seasoned hash browns inside! Service was very friendly. We sat inside but there were sidewalk tables as well. Street parking wasn't bad but it was a Thursday morning. We loved it!
I have been coming here for years! I am coming back from Argentina today and I'm so excited for their coffee tomorrow! They cater to my gluten free needs and I'm vegan.... and they truly do have they best staff. I love this place and, I can't wait to enjoy an espresso with honey! I just climbed Mount Aconcagua and here is the summit. Thank you for being great One Shot!
One shot is amazing!! Their coffees are delicious and the non-dairy options are great. I had oat milk latte- it was made very well. Their vegan/gluten free peanut butter dessert was sooo good! The staff is very sweet and care about how everything comes out. It was a great experience and very inviting. :) I enjoyed relaxing and journaling.
This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Philadelphia! Food is out of this world....best I've had for a cafe like this in the city. Pumpkin pancakes and all breakfast sandwiches are to die for. Atmosphere is cute and cozy. Plus the staff is friendly, welcoming and so so so accommodating (whatever the request may be). This is a must stop if you are in the area! You won't regret it!
Luckily, using condoms every time you have sex really lowers the chance of getting or spreading STDs. The other great thing about condoms is that they also protect against pregnancy, which means that using condoms along with the shot gives you awesome pregnancy-preventing power!

Yes. There are different flu vaccine manufacturers and multiple flu vaccines that are licensed and recommended for use in the United States. Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent vaccine, Flublok Quadrivalent recombinant flu vaccine and Fluad Quadrivalent adjuvanted flu vaccine.
If one of the three preferentially recommended flu vaccines for people 65 and older is not available at the time of administration, people in this age group should get an age-appropriate standard-dose flu vaccine instead.
Despite the many benefits offered by flu vaccination, only about half of Americans get an annual flu vaccine. During an average flu season, flu can cause millions of illnesses, hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations and tens of thousands of deaths. Many more people could be protected from flu if more people got vaccinated.
Common side effects from a flu shot include soreness, redness, and/or swelling where the shot was given, headache (low grade), fever, nausea, muscle aches, and fatigue. The flu shot, like other injections, can occasionally cause fainting.
Life-threatening allergic reactions to flu shots are very rare. Signs of serious allergic reaction can include breathing problems, hoarseness or wheezing, hives, paleness, weakness, a fast heartbeat, or dizziness. If they do occur, it is usually within a few minutes to a few hours after receiving the shot. These reactions can occur among persons who are allergic to something that is in the vaccine, such as egg protein or other ingredients. While severe reactions are uncommon, you should let your doctor, nurse, clinic, or pharmacist know if you have a history of allergy or severe reaction to influenza vaccine or any part of flu vaccine.
There is a small possibility that flu vaccine could be associated with Guillain-Barr syndrome, generally no more than 1 or 2 cases per million people vaccinated. This is much lower than the risk of severe complications from flu, which can be prevented by flu vaccine.

The ban on the use of lead shot for hunting waterfowl was phased-in starting with the 1987-88 hunting season. The ban became nationwide in 1991. Nontoxic shot regulations apply only to waterfowl, defined as the family Anatidae (ducks, geese, [including brant], and swans) and coots. Nontoxic shot is defined as any shot type that does not cause sickness and death when ingested by migratory birds.
