Through his soundtrack work, David has also collaborated with popular recording artists such as Elton John, Lady Gaga, Pharrell Williams and Beyoncé, with whom he worked on the Grammy-nominated song "Spirit", for The Lion King soundtrack. David Fleming is currently composing the score for the Netflix feature Damsel, starring Millie Bobbie Brown.
The World Soundtrack Awards, launched in 2001 by the Film Fest Gent, is aimed at organizing and overseeing the educational, cultural and professional aspects of the art of film music, including the preservation of the history of the soundtrack and its worldwide promotion.[1] The event takes place yearly in Ghent, Belgium with the ceremony usually at the Capitole Concert Hall. Usually, the Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé performs the awarded music at the ceremony.[2]

His themes for that film are some of his most underrated pieces, easily. I love the use of tribal percussion in the sequence when they first embark to Sorna, and the melodic composition in the main theme is so powerful and full of life. He even resolves the bombastic melodies with more intimate and sinister cues. Everything just felt so complete about this soundtrack, like it perfectly encapsulates the feel of a dangerous expedition into a prehistoric, Skull Island-esque land, but doesn't lose that sense of majesty at the same time.

Thank you to everyone who emailed asking about a World of Goo Soundtrack. This is probably as close to an "official" soundtrack I'll ever make for the game World of Goo. I'm making it available here on my personal portfolio for free. I wrote much of this music specifically for the game, but many of the tracks were excerpts from music I had written previously for various small projects, or just for fun. This soundtrack includes the full versions of most of those songs, as best as I was able to recover them. Notes accompany the tracks below.
Starting in 2023, the festival introduces a brand new WSAward: the WSA Game Music Award, recognising composers who write original scores for video games and/or other interactive media. As video game music has evolved into its own genre, the award aims to celebrate the crucial role music plays in immersing players in virtual worlds. Furthermore, the audience gets to decide: from July onwards everyone can vote for their favourite game score of the year. Who will win the very first WSA Game Music Award?
Here's a guide to the soundtrack of Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World. Following his departure from The Office, Steve Carell starred in an eclectic mix of movies, including Hope Springs and The Way, Way Back. Another was 2012's Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, about a man named Dodge whose wife immediately leaves him once they learn a huge asteroid will destroy the planet within weeks. He teams up with British neighbor Penny (Keira Knightley) to go on one last road trip before the world ends, and they soon fall for one another.
Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World was directed by Lorene Scafaria (Hustlers), and outside of the lead actors it has a great supporting cast, including Connie Britton, Patton Oswalt, Gillian Jacobs and William Petersen. The movie didn't do great business during its theatrical run, though it received decent reviews for its performances and providing a different angle to the typical end of the world movie.
Lorene Scafaria was inspired to write Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World from Chris Cornell song "Preaching The End Of The World," so it makes sense the movie is quite musically minded. Here's a rundown of every song on the official soundtrack.
Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World features a lot of classics, including "The Air That I Breathe" by The Hollies and Wang Chung's "Dance Hall Days." Given the subject matter its almost a surprise REM's "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" isn't on the soundtrack too - but then that would have been a little on the nose. Speaking of which, the trailer for the movie also features Talking Heads gem "Road To Nowhere."
Like the cast, script, and look of The End of the F***ing World, the show's soundtrack is bloody amazing. Not only is the show self-aware enough to acknowledge its American influences, but the soundtrack even features songs from British artists whose sounds have roots in American blues, soul, and rock music. "Keep On Running" by 1960s-era UK band The Spencer Davis Group accompanies James and Alyssa while they themselves are on the run, and the soundtrack is riddled with doo-wop, classic rock, country, and soul songs that are enough to make you forget that the show is set in present day.
At first it may seem as if James and Alyssa's grisly world is at odds with a soundtrack steeped in American of American-inspired oldies, but listen closer to the 33 songs we've compiled and it's clear why the music, like the main couple, is just crazy enough to work.

One of those Mario games that I got so close to beating but never did. This is a really awesome game!
This soundtrack has got to be one of the best in the series. Super Mario Odyssey's OST is still better but this is phenomenal.

My biggest gripe with soundtrack is that the Boom Boom Theme is literally just reused from Super Mario 3D Land which is not the Admin's fault it's Nintendo like at least make a remix if this is a sequel to 3D Land... Nintendo you make some weird decisions
Yeah, even if it doesn't bother me as much, it would of been cool if we gotten a new track or like a remix of an older one

This is absolute garbage, the game audio is still in this and it's poorly encoded. There is no way this soundtrack belongs on this website.

it's annoying because it's a puzzle solving and then also an active moving game and who wants those two things jumbled together. Plus it uses the same songs from Mario 3-D world makes it even more snatching from Mario 3-D world anyway that doesn't have to do with anything so you don't have to read this comment.

Uh hey umm are u going to make a Gamerip of bowsers furry when it comes out?
I love this soundtrack, but I have to talk about the sound effects... Today, there are easy ways to just rip the sound files from the game with no sound effects. This should be unacceptable, and should be promptly changed.
It's absolutely wonderful to see this soundtrack added to the already-vast library of Mario soundtracks on this site.
3D World has some of the best Mario music since the Galaxy games...definit ely a worthy addition.
