When I power on my PPM without a network connection, the date is set to 2006. This means that trying to play downloaded movies in Netflix gives an error. If I then connect to a network, the time is set correctly and the movies can be played.
I think maybe the Netflix app always tries to check some DRM related stuff to be able to play a file, and yes, it could be as simple as a date/time check online. But having a solution for the timekeeping would indeed be great.
Guys, there is no clock in our projector so there is no way to keep the time after reboot. We tried to implement something different with our engineer but failed.
The only way is to make the put the time in manual mode after reset
Hi guys. The Microsoft Edge is my favorite browser of all times, really, but not when I try to watch netflix or other video streaming services, it always breaks, I have no ideia what to do anymore. Always when I try to play something there's an error and then I need to reload over and over again, sometimes even when I just play the video it stop working when I try to play again. Help me to keep using this best browser that I've ever seen.
I've ever tried to disable hardware acceleration, enable DRM content, install Microsoft Silverlight and a lot of other things, but I didn't get to watch so far without an error I keep receiving these error codes: D7356-7701 and others related. Is there's still something that can be done to really fix theses erros or I just have to be patient and wait for news versions of the browser?

Sorry dude.. but this isn't a solution....Roku did an update on 3801GL last April 9... and after that i cant view some of the movies on Netflix... tvq-pb-101 (5.2.4)

We already done all the troubleshoot.
The error only shows on Roku device....so the problem was on your device.. after it was updated last Apr. 9, 2021...
Roku guys are you even reading the posts on this thread? im having the same issue done TS steps gazillion times already and nothing worked!! talked to multiple netflix chat support and they all tell you is that someone from the netflix research team will contact you. You guys need look for solution because it was your device that dont work all factors considered!

Facing the same issue on Netflix. Getting an Error 5.8. Right after that the App hangs. Tried restarting phone, reinstalling the App and also cleared Cache. Results are the same. Currently running 2.5.5.b.
@NotP2a This is not the working fix as I was watching shows normally a few days ago and today everything just went haywire. Nothing played and it kept giving me the .10 or .8 errors and then quite a few times the app just crashes or takes obscenely long to open which was not seen the day before. I have tried restarting my 2a and reinstalling the app. I have tried all the other methods stated above or in the Netflix forum. For context i have the 2a white with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
Was just about to report this. I have the same issue on macOS 13 Ventura. The issue is not present in Monterey. Some shows play and some don't. Works completely fine in Safari. Issue persisted with compatibility mode on.
I have been having the same issue, but with the error code D7701-1003, and I looked it up and it has something to do with browser settings, while it also suggests that HTML5 is missing. This is the link to that page:
It says that HTML 5 is missing, but I also tried it with all the user agents, and it acted the same way. The previews of the shows/movies show up just fine, but maybe it's a problem when the site tries to get them and run them on the browser so it could be that it can't reach it's server, or something similar to that.
I did get on Netflix recently, and I played around with the website settings, and it eventually played stuff, but the screen was black: , like here in Paddington, but then, when I tried with Avatar: The Last Airbender it worked, and showed the video, but then, when I tried with Rush Hour 3, it gave me the error code again:
I think that it is a problem on both sides where Netflix isn't familiar with the useful feature of changing browser identities with a simple click in the settings, while the other side is that the user agents for chrome and the other browsers seem to be outdated versions, and not the latest patches, causing Netflix to not use them, since these old versions are unsupported.
