Thislittle guide is for how to get the most OP weapon in the game within 1-2 hours of gameplay time, the Seitengrat, a bow with 224 attack power, 75 evade and can be equipped by anyone since it's not licence locked aswell as how to get level 99 (or atleast decently close depending on how long you want to grind for) so that later party members auto level to your level.
If you guys would like me to make a video of how to do all this aswell incase anyone needs a visual guide I'll probably make a video tutorial for it all soon however for now only text base will have to do
So if you're like me, and not very interested in the story or characters of Final Fantasy 12 or just want an easy road to the platinum then below are a set of tips to easily get OP within the first few hours of gameplay. This does require making a new game or if you're already level 99 on all characters the you can skip to the first half of this to get the the most OP weapon in the game. However using this method
won't be auto leveled to your level like the rest of your party so you'll have to grind them at a later date. I suggest waiting until you get atleast 2 embroidered tippets to make the grind less painful a second time if everyone else is already level 99
- Start with making a new game and playing through the tutorial until you get to the first save crystal and reload the area to make sure no one else is there then make a separate save state there, after that, finish the tutorial as normal and play through the story until you get to Giza Plains.
- After getting the diamond armlet play until you escape from the Nalbina Dungeons and go back to Rabanastre to make sure everyone leaves your party. DO NOT keep playing the story from here or else Basch will go to your current level, which isn't what we want
- Go to the Areodome and in Rabanastre and fly to Nalbina and pick the leisure option so that you can roam on the airship. Go outside onto the platform to autosave the game and then close your application.
- Reopen the game and load up the tutorial save and spam cure on yourself until you see the numbers 97, 94, 95 come up in that order. It's not random what numbers you'll get, you'll always get a certain chain of numbers, it's just random where you'll be placed on the list of numbers, however I found closing the game before trying I always started very close to the chain. You'll know you're close when you see the chain 88, 94. 94 come up. This should only take 2-5 minutes to get the chain, if it takes longer than that, restart the game again and try again.
- After getting the 97, 94, 95 cure chain, it select and go back to the title screen and reload the auto save on the airship and run up to stairs to the left and make sure you're in the direct middle, there should be an invisible chest DO NOT OPEN IT.
- Once you're lined up with the chest, look to your left and you'll see a kid. He will run to the right corner (if you're looking at him from the chest he will be going to the right) after that he will run to the man on the opposite side and then he will run back to his starting position. Once he stops immediately open the chest and you'll get the Seitengrat, at 224 attack power bow, the most OP weapon in the game. After getting it, go back into the airship and go back outside to make a new auto save with the bow and the close the application and repeat the process until you have 6 of them to give to your whole party since the weapon isn't license locked.
- After you have 6 Seitengrat's you can go down to the stewardess below deck and land the airship in Nalbina and there will be a Seeq that sells onion arrows, you'll only need to buy 5 since Fran already has one (assuming you still have it)
- Now that you have a Seitengrat and an arrow, make your way back to Rabanastre and go into the Garamsythe Waterway. This is where you'll be grinding. You'll be grinding Malboro Overking's and Lizard's, both around level 40 and can do about 800 with beginner armor so the 75 evade really comes in handy, just make sure to stay as far away from the as possible when trying to kill them and try not to agro more than 1 at a time
You'll want to be grinding in the 2 circled areas as they're the easiest to go back from and they're both close to a save crystal incase you get low on health. You'll have to go to screens to make everything fully respawn in the rooms so just go back and forth between the 2 save crystals killing everything in the way. You'll get around 3k EXP for each kill and going from one crystal to the other you'll kill around 10 netting you around 30k from 1 crystal to the next. At the start you'll have to not speed up time that way you can tell what's going on but as you level up more you can just put it on 4x speed and have it set to auto attack and just run into them and they'll die pretty fast. One thing to watch out for is in the lower left area a water element will some times spawn and uses protect, reflect and a water attack that seems to hit every time, so wait until you're a bit of a higher level to kill it. Upon killing it you'll get around 5k exp.
- You can stop grinding whenever, if you want to go to level 99 you can go to level 99 or get level 60 as from there you'll blow through most everything until you get near end game content which by then you should have 3 embroidered tippets and access to higher EXP mobs to grind.
- Again, only downside to all this is that Fran and Balthier won't be auto leveled to your level liked Basch, Penelo and Ashe so you'll have to level them up manually using either the above method or waiting til later to level them up, I recommend waiting until you have atleast 2 embroidered tippets before leveling them up and just use Vaan, Basch, Penelo and Ashe as your main characters until then
No problem, I didn't come up with all this, mostly just putting together a bunch of stuff I found online, and you won't be seeing much of the bow since it's an invisible weapon. I will say that it does make the game boring however since in my opinion the story and characters are bland so being able to speed through the gameplay aswell makes the game extremely boring in my opinion, but I love final fantasy and plan to get the plat for all of them so I'm still sticking through the boredom. Just a fair warning if you plan on doing it
I knew when read about Seitengrat that you could destroy the early-game with that bow, but i didn't know you also can beat every boss and earn the platinum with that bow, and now that you figure out a method to level up until level 99 in early game too... well, I think the platinum is not a problem now. ?

I can't take any credit for coming up with the methods, I found them the grinding stop and getting the bow and all that from reading a bunch of different posts and I just combined all the best info to have the easiest time. And the Seitengrat is the strongest weapon in the game with 224 attack power and a nice 75 evade aswell and I'm pretty sure the highest attack power weapon from the game is like 100ish (I could be wrong I never really checked) I got bored of grinding to level 99 myself so I stopped at 60 and going to top it all off later with embroidered tippets in a higher level area. Honestly so far my biggest hurdle getting the platinum is just how pain stakingly boring it is

ff12 plays nothing like the older final fantasy and uses a system called a gambit system with is like real time and turn based at the same time kind of thing. With the method above it won't take to much effort and should take probably around 60-80 hours. The hardest part will be keeping yourself entertained since the story is bland and the characters are bland and using the bow and grinding early makes the story a cake walk
So, FF XII doesn't have a inmune physical dmg mandatory enemy or something that could change the bow in an useless weapon? I know you need to do a kind of tower with a lot of enemies and bosses in order to get the platinum and of course a lot of boss-trophy related.
