Subject: Dean Kamen - Papa of FIRST - is coming to town - THIS Saturday - you're invited!!

Dean Kamen will offer the keynote speech at SUNYIT's May 10 graduation ceremony. Not only is he the 'inventor' of FIRST, but he holds at least 440 US and international patents. He has very graciously offered to meet with US - !! - at a reception on campus after graduation.

This gathering will take place at 1pm, allowing the enormous graduation crowd to dissipate from the parking lots etc. before all of us come to campus to meet with him.

This is a BIG honor and I wanted to share it with you all - as you all have had a role in facilitating the progress of FIRST robotics programming in central New York.

Yes, you may bring kids, and yes, you may bring robots. And yes, you may bring your enthusiasm and good will. It is that as much as anything that has moved him to join us for a brief and happy reception.
