TheCrystalBlast Pioneer Pressure was designed to fill the needs of two distinctive markets. First, it's an entry-level sandblasting cabinet with all the features needed to get you sand carving with a low investment and lots of standard features. Second, it's a small, easily cleaned cabinet size for facilities that need more than one machine but less than two. This model is beneficial when you want to operate using a different size abrasive and or the application has a high amount of contamination present; commonly found with stone and brick sluffing grog, grog is the granular material used to strengthen clay.
This Mediablaster requires an industrial vacuum for the dust collector, not supplied. Optional dust collectors are available with one of two models, both models include a large 110 square foot Media Blast vacuum dust collectors which comes complete with vacuum blower silencers and 100% welded cabinet construction.

We recommend a 220-volt single-phase electrical power supply for the air compressor.
Pro Tip: Never buy a compressor using the displacement cfm number, always use the second cfm volume number listed with 90-100 psi inside the tank, because tank pressure reduces performance.

In the photo above, what appears to be the front of the amplifier is actually the back of the amplifier (as evidenced by the power cord), and the front is where all the connections are located (below).
I substituted in the Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier (30 watts per channel) for the SPEC RSA-M3 EX Real Sound Amplifier (60 watts per channel), and let it warm up while streaming the superb Jazz24 out of Seattle.
Solid-state amps from the 1970's didn't have a particularly good reputation among audiophiles for sounding musically natural, and often were described as having a hard clinical balance that didn't do a good job of connecting the listener with the emotional content of the music, and having a grainy and coldly detached sound.
Well, happily that description doesn't apply to the Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier at all, as it is a beautiful sounding amplifier musically and sonically, and one I could easily live with on a permanent basis.
In fact, compared to superb contemporary solid-state amps like the First Watt SIT-3 or the SPEC RSA-M3 EX Real Sound Amplifier that are noted for their musical and sonic prowess, my first impressions are that the Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier doesn't come up short at all.
The midrange and high's are liquid and transparent, the bass is taut and detailed, it has a natural sounding high-resolution, presents tone color beautifully, is dynamic as can be from micro to macro, with beat, rhythm, melodies, and tempos that are presented as lively and engaging, excellent imaging, and gives a beautifully satisfying sense of recorded space.
The Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier does that important "real sound" triad of tone, presence, and dynamics very well, which makes it sound very "alive" and engaging to listen to, and it is a terrific match to the "Stokowski" Altec's with their high-performance and state-of-art Duelund CAST tinned-copper components crossovers.
I don't know what I was expecting to hear from the Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier, but it has really won me over, and I absolutely love what I'm hearing from this hifi system with this amplifier!
Switching from the Jazz24 stream to vinyl, in this case the Gillian Welch and David Rawlings album The Harrow & The Harvest, also provided some additional illumination about the Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier.
Resolution was impressive, unravelling Gillian's and David's harmonies even more clearly than the superb SPEC RSA-M3 EX Real Sound Amplifier, and with a lot of meaningful musical detail being evident.
Tonally I thought the Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier scored very well overall, with superbly natural presentation of vocal sibilance, and with beautifully presented instrumental overtones that made Gillian's and David's guitars sound rich as well as detailed.
The vintage Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier is a true blast from the past, and I really have had a blast listening to it this morning. What a nice vintage surprise for a Friday morning!
Ron is going stop by for a little listening session later today, and I'll leave the Pioneer Series 20 M-22 Class A power amplifier powered up so we can hear it in its fully warmed up state, but even with just a short warm-up period of about 20 minutes this morning while I was writing this blog post, well I'm really impressed.
You may have heard of Banksy as a subversive street artist, a vandal, an existencilist or a revolutionary, but I like to think of him as a pioneer of the postmodern project. Of a similar nature to the movement itself, the graffiti artist is seemingly unidentifiable and always becoming in response to the now.
Although a rising force in the art world and somewhat of a pop phenomenon, the illustrious and intriguing Banksy chooses to keep his identity a mystery to the masses, making his increasingly popular persona mostly a product of perspective. There is no public figure with which to associate the images, and in this sense, he exists largely as representation. How pomo of him, right?
Pioneer offers a variety of blasting options to meet pretreatment and texture requirements for various finishes. From high volume tumble blast and spinner hanger shot blast to large cabinet individual part blasting. Pioneer removes rust, scale, and other contaminates from your critical part surface prior to the application of your engineered coating system.
Deburring is the process of removing sharp burrs to smooth both large and small parts edges. Deburring creates a softened edge on metal parts that is safe to handle and improves bonding of plating or other coating systems on edges.
Electropolishing is an electro-chemical process that smoothens, polishes, deburrs and cleans stainless steel, in an electrolytic bath. The process selectively removes high points on metal surfaces, giving the surface a high luster. Conventional mechanical finishing systems tend to smear, bend, and stress the crystalline metal surface to achieve smoothness or luster. Electropolishing offers the advantage of removing metal from the surface producing a unidirectional pattern that is both stress and occlusion free, and microscopically smooth.
The Pioneer when un-upgraded is an awful ship that will lose any fight. However, once upgraded, it can be considered the strongest Tier 4 ship in the game. Its stats scale steeply per each upgrade (except Energy Regeneration). It is generally recommended to upgrade Shield Regeneration first before proceeding to upgrade other statistics. A fully upgraded pioneer can decimate many ships in an equal battle and can also flee with its impressive speed. Against teams, it can perform admirably.
It is not a very large ship but is quite bulky, similar to the X-Warrior, but much faster. It has relatively low acceleration and is best known for its sudden attacks ramming into enemy vessels. Remember that despite it having the highest terminal velocity of any Tier 4, the Pioneer can still be chased down and killed by other fast tier 4s, especially the Side-Interceptor, or fast ships in other tiers. Despite this, Pioneer is simply amazing against any ship with a lower mass than itself.
Cowboy State Daily meteorologist Don Day said Wednesday morning, according to Cowboy Daily, The arctic blast, would will bring sub-zero temperatures to nearly all of Wyoming with life-threatening wind chills, is slightly ahead of schedule and had already entered parts of northern Wyoming. And Bridger Valley was getting its share of high winds fairly early Wednesday morning. The highway between Fort Bridger and Lyman was icing over, and areas of the highway were covered with blowing snow. Later in the day, the storm took over and dropped snow. This coupled with the driving wind resulted in law enforcement requesting the closure of much of I-80 in southwest Wyoming by early afternoon Wednesday. It was also reported the Casper area was socked in with closures and much of Wyoming had been closed due to the storm.
Casper set a new record Wednesday night when the temperature dropped to 42 below. Also western Nebraska was 12 below before 8 p.m. and temperatures in Fort Bridger were still in the low 20s. The report was I-80 from Cheyenne to western Nebraska was nearly impossible due to the blizzard and blowing snow.
