Sometimes I design the covers directly on a master page spread (particularly if I need an image to wrap around both covers) and just apply the master to each cover in the document. If you do that, you can always go back into the Pages panel to see the master as one spread (and you avoid having to shuffle around the pages directly in the document).
You can uncheck allow pages to shuffle and move your last page up beside your first, but you risk playing havoc with the page numbering. Alternatively, if you want to design the outside spread as a whole, you could build a separate file that way.
Grab the last page and drag it up next to the first one and loook for the black line that says it will be added to the spread (sort of looks like a left bracket) and watch the arrow in the cursor to see which side of the spine it will drop on (you want it pointing left).
Right click on the first page (the back cover) in the panel and choose numbering and section options then set it to start on any even number (you'll have to change the number style if you use a number that already exists in the doc, or ID will complain).
Right click on the page that SHOULD be numbered 1 and sart a new section with 1 as the starting number (if it isn't already done -- I don't know what numbers you assigned to the front cover and first inside page before). You may have to re-establish other sections if you have any front matter type stuff that starts at 1 in roman numerals, too.

Buyers are not required to attend a preview event, but I highly recommend checking one out before signing a sales contract. This informal preview gives you an opportunity to view all the available options, make sure there is something to suit your style and budget, and ask questions about your specific floor plan or community.
The design process moves very quickly. In our case, we had three weeks from the time we signed our sales contract to attend two required studio appointments and finalize all of our design choices. We rushed to take time off of work to get it done in such a short time frame, but because we spent so much time at preview events before and even during the process, we felt confident in our selections by the time our final appointment rolled around. Our timeline looked something like this:
As the name suggests, structural upgrades affect the structure of the building AKA the specifications of the floor and building plans, as opposed to design studio upgrades, which cover cosmetic changes such as using a different tile in the bathroom, adding a kitchen backsplash, or opting for gray cabinets throughout the house.
It is crucial to note that most structural upgrades are not actually added at the design studio. They must be selected at the sales office and specified on the initial sales contract. That being said, asking about structural upgrades (and their price tags) at a preview event can prove helpful in selecting the right floor plan and maximizing your overall home budget.
Every single upgrade we selected at the Orlando Design Studio was simply added to our total home cost, and rolled into the mortgage. We do not intend to live in this home for more than five years, and it cost less to finance our options for that time period rather than pay the full upgrade cost upfront.
