I use a notebook Pavilion 15-n065sr, Windows 8.1 since 2014.
Four days ago it showed me BSOD with "kernel data inpage error". Then "Critical service failed", then 0x000000e.
What did I do: first I cleaned disk C (first time): with system built-in methods, then by hands, then with CC-Cleaner. Now I have 14 Gb free space.
But it didn't help. Notebook worked but over time it crushed with "kernel data inpage error".
Then I fixed errors on disk C with system built-in methods (I mean that method that Windows suggested me to use without third party software). When I checked, Windows says that errors didn't found. But it crushed over time.
Then I repeated previous step and fixed defragmentation of disk C.
But - "kernel data inpage error (ccd.dll)".
Today it works but I'm afraid that it can to crash.
What else can I do if it happens?
Should I to reinstall the system?
Or maybe the problem with hardware and I'm doomed?

Hi all. I have exactly the same problem. This is a pain in the neck. Community folder is empty. Almost clean installation of the premium version. Last update of Benelux performed. The computer is with old items as from last October. MSFS is installed on C: Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB. I have done the full check of the drive with Samsung Magician. Done dism and sfc scannow i.a.w. with Microsoft support procedure. Done chkdsk c: /r. There are no other issues on the system. I used to run the sim several times every day before. The only thing that might have got in between the first failed run of the game is a windows update. I was surprised to find that this folder where is the *exe file is not accessible due to rights (I was not able to view it in Explorer). After giving rights I can access it, but still the error remains. I am not sure if I have done it correctly or maybe there are more folders with the same problem. There is no response on a ticket through Zendesk (third day). The only a little bit not common to find on my system is a virtual drive on A: from 64 GB RAM 32 is a virtual disk. Additional 8GB uses Asus software for cache speeding drives. From the 32 GB, 24 GB was set in MSFS to use as cache. I have updated Windows 10 and Nvidia and I have stopped NortonAV - no good. I am about to install MSFS once more. It is a pity they are not responding on the ticket. If anybody has got any other idea I can give it a try.

Computers that experience this problem will typically restart after crashing. If your computer won't turn on or boot up after experiencing a kernel data inpage error, check out our guide to fixing a computer that won't turn on.

Make copies of any files you can't afford to lose, and store them on a USB flash drive, SD card, or cloud storage service.

When your hard drive is running, listen carefully for any loud clicking noises. If you hear them, your hard drive may be in the process of failing, which can cause this type of error. The fix is to back up all your data and replace your hard drive.

You may want to run more than one memory diagnostic tool. If any of these tools report a problem with your memory, consider replacing your RAM. Doing so will probably fix your kernel data inpage error, but your RAM is likely to fail in the future either way if one of these tools finds a problem.

The kernel is a low-level program that's responsible for interfacing all applications with the physical hardware of the computer. Without the kernel, none of your applications would work. Every operating system has a kernel.

To fix a kernel security check failure error, remove any peripheral devices, disable Windows automatic restart, scan for corrupt files, and check the hard disk for errors. If you're still having trouble, restore the system to a past working point, use the Startup Repair Tool, or reset the computer.

According to user reports, the error performing inpage operation message often occurs when opening/installing/uninstalling a program on a particular drive or accessing an external hard drive. This error is initially reported to occur on Windows 7, but some users also encounter the error on Windows 11/10/8.1.

Error Performing Inpage Operation - External Hard Drive. My Western Digital external hard drive has gone completely haywire on me. It doesn't open at all when I click the drive and instead says "Error Performing Inpage Operation".

_performing_inpage_operation_external_hard/What Causes the Error Performing Inpage OperationWhat causes the error performing inpage operation Windows 10/8/7? According to a survey, the main reason for the error is that the (external) hard drive is going faulty.
