Did you know approx 200 people are being held in an ICE facility next to industry city? Join me tonight for a peaceful 1 hour vigil lead by a priest and a rabbi (no this is not the beginning of a joke). Bring a sign if you can, not necc of course. The crowd has been small, sweet and with all do respect and full admiration full of folks in what appears to be their elder years … it’s very moving and simple. A few songs are sung. We could use more people.

Our fellow organizers at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bay Ridge are holding for a weekly vigil outside the MDC to call for the release of ICE detainees, and to stand against the inhumane treatment of our neighbors. Supporters are invited to bring signs, to sing or play music, and to solemnly bear witness in solidarity. Together we will build and strengthen the vital community connections.
