Tent of Abraham Friends,
Please come to our next planning meeting, or make sure that there is a representative from your congregation. It will be Thursday, January 31st at 4:30 PM at The Council of Churches office, 1718 Capitol Avenue, Bridgeport. Frank Basler, our new volunteer coordinator, will report on his meetings with congregational leaders. We will talk about instituting a regular schedule of 6 meetings each year, not only for planning but for fellowship, conversation, and education.
Fairfield Prep is interested in starting a youth chapter of the Tent of Abraham, and we will talk about how we might interact with them!
Also, this is your final reminder that you are invited to gather with us tomorrow at noon, outside the Bridgeport Police Station, for a 30 minute vigil to remember the 11 people who were killed in Bridgeport in 2018, to pray for their families, and to pray for an end to gun violence. The flyer is attached.
