When i first downloaded netflix i just entered in a code for my account from the IPAD2. Now it always asks for my username and password. Is there anyway to reset the App so i can do what it did before? It becomes a pain to log in everytime to use it. Any help will be appreciated.
Yeah I will try them tomorrow. Kali I tried that but didn't do anything but same problem. Also when I went into Netflix it wouldn't let me delete one device. This is confusing. Plus I thought the reset would work but have no idea what that actually does.
Actually, I went off to do some things, but being somewhat experience here, I deleted the App and reinstalled it, which did fix the issue. I hadn't read kali's post, but it was a good suggestion and I recommend you do that. Delete, reinstall it and once you enter your password and ID it will be remembered the nex time.
I tried that once. Deleted from iPad then downloaded it again. Still asked for my username and password each day, then tried to delete it from I tunes figured that would reset it. Same thing so how to I get to use activation code again with out completely resetting iPad.
Did you try a hard reset? Or I don't know, try Reset All Settings? I don't see how that would have anything to do with that particular app though. You could delete the app, reset all settings, and download it again? Gosh, what a pain. Hmmm. Maybe try contacting Netflix to see if there's an update or if it's really an acknowledged known issue. Try calling them. Pretty short wait time for customer service.

Are you wondering how to reset Netflix on your smart TV? Simply uninstalling and reinstalling the app should do the trick, but there are more steps that you should take to ensure that you're getting rid of all of Netflix's data. This wikiHow article lists the steps to reset Netflix on your smart TV.
This week, I've encountered strange behavior on two different Roku TVs in two different states. In both cases, while watching a show the app would suddenly stop and go back to the home screen. When resuming the show, it often would start playing a minute or two earlier in the episode than where it stopped. Also, the issue happens repeatedly, even after restarting the device. I've tested it on different internet sources, and that didn't make a difference.
Before I go the route of reinstalling apps or factory resetting, is anyone else experiencing something similar? This started about a week ago. It seems unlikely reseting will fix this gs as this is happening on more than one device in different locations.
I'm having the exact same issue but only on 1, my newest TV, a Roku TCL, 58 inch. Starts the episode on Netflix and with no warning stops and goes to the home page. i've tried everything from uninstalling to reinstalling the apps. Annoying to say the least.
There are a few possible reasons why your Prime and Netflix apps are crashing on your Roku TVs. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try before resorting to reinstalling apps or factory resetting:
Help, this problem just started for me in the last 24 hours on every TCL Roku Series 4, 5, 6 I own. Only Netflix and Prime crash, all other apps are fine. Tried restart, reinstall, no luck. Cannot figure out how to clear app cash, none of the TVs have Settings > System > Advanced system settings > App > Netflix/Prime Video > Clear cash option. Thanks.
Did you restart your Roku device before re-installing the channel? That step is crucial when performing the troubleshooting. If you haven't tried the suggested order (remove > restart > re-install), we would recommend giving it a shot once again. We also suggest doing the restart from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.) > System restart.

Does the issue occur on the Netflix channel only or all channels on your Roku devices? What are the steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing? What troubleshooting steps have you already taken to try to resolve the issue?
Hi, i only yesterday got around to resetting my Mail password to discover several emails telling me about Netflix being added to my account and to "click here" to register. When i clicked, the link said there was a problem.
I called VM Support and they didn;t appear to understand my issue and stated "your registration will be fixed within 5 days". Don;t know how that'll work as VM has no idea what my Netflix account info is.
I've signed out of my Netflix account (everywhere) and reset my password so i'm happy that what's showing on the Netflix channel and App is not my account (it hasn't been hi-jacked). I would though like to view Netflix on my VM box so need the other account to be gone...
Click OK on your 360 remote on the screen that you just posted. On the next screen use the navigation buttons to move all the way across to the left. It opens another side panel. Don't worry about not being able to understand the language/symbols on this screen or the following ones.
I recently changed TV and lost the Paramount+ App (from the TV Apps) and found the App on the VM Box. I then saw the Netflix App and thought, well why not use it, especially as the basic access is free.
Think i have a Tivo Box, the settings above aren;t visible to me. I can select "Home > Settings" but there's nothing obvious to me to find Netflix (I've been thru most of the menu options within Settings).
Anyone else with the XiOne, having issues with netflix?
ALL other streaming apps work fine on the box, netflix will not load.
Brings up the logo, spins for a bit, then says cant connect.
Doing some of the netflix app tests, says its not connected to the internet.
Obviously the box is and works with everything else.
Have rebooted, etc all already.
Netflix seems to work fine on my XiOne and Xi6-T set-top boxes. However, it looks like the stored app data got reset on the XiOne -- when I launched the app, I got the initial sign-in screen and had to log into the app again.
ITs been working fine on my other boxes.
I have since tried doing the reset of netflix from pressing A, as well as when I get into that netflix diag menu a reset there (probably doing the same thing).
Same issue.
My next thought, would be a full factory rest on the whole box?

It might, but it depends on what the problem is. If it's just due to some data that is not being cleared, a simple factory reset should fix that. If you have a problem with the on-board Flash storage, a factory reset may not be enough.
You can try looking at the diagnostics screens. " Down Down 2" typically only shows informational stuff but it's still worth checking. " Down Down 4" may show helpful errors on the "Install Summary" or the "Advanced Diags" screen.
There is a much more aggressive reset available that completely clears Flash storage on the box, but that is a VERY risky thing for an end-user to do. You should only attempt that under the direction of Tech Support because if something goes wrong, you could end up rendering the box unbootable.
On one of my Xi6-T STBs, the Prime Video and Disney+ apps would not load. An error flashed for an instant, then I was back to the Apps screen. After a few more tries, both apps finally loaded, although I found that I needed to sign back into Disney+.
I'm not sure what to make of this. A few years ago, the App problems that I just saw on my Xi6-T had started creeping into ALL of my Xi6-A set-top boxes; I got them all replaced and the problems went away. However, while my Xi6-T's might be showing signs of old age, my XiOne is only a few months old. Another (known) problem is that the Amazon Music app is temporarily unavailable. It's gone from the Apps menu. When I try to invoke it with Voice Commands, I get an APPS-04154 error. It's still too early to tell whether my Xi6-T's are actually going sour. However, my STB's also got updated again last night, and it sure looks like Rogers may be trying to sort out some issues with their Ignite STB software builds.
Bought TV new in Jan '15 and everything about it has been great until a couple of weeks ago. Now Netflix will randomly stop working and only comes back with a full TV factory reset. Sometimes it will work throughout a day then need a reset to work the following day. Sometimes you only need to come out of Netflix for a moment and it will not work if you go back in minutes later.
We have a Youview PVR connected to the TV via the same home hub and Netflix works fine on this playing to the TV via HDMI... but that's not the point as it's a feature of the TV we want to work without additional equipment.
