Mike, it is my understanding that students still under the old regime ( 10th graders and above ) will have an opportunity to take a Gateway style test if they fail to reach the competency level set for the EOC. This will not help them to obtain a passing mark in Algebra I, but will satisfy the Gateway qualification for graduation. Also the score needed to pass the EOC and the one needed on the EOC to satisfy the Gateway are to be two different numbers. I hope this helps some. Dan O.
