Has the requirement been changed that both sections were to be completed in the same school year.  Alg 1A not to be taken in the spring with Alg 1B in the fall.

When teaching Alg1A/B as a regular ed class (Alg 1 over a year), both
sections must be completed in the same school year (Fall/Spring/
Summer). At our school, freshmen who failed the first semester (Alg1A)
are taking it again this spring but must finish up in summer school.
These requirements are altered only for spec ed students who are
taking Alg 1A as a freshman and Alg 1B as a sophomore.

Can these regular ed students finish the Al1B course in the fall (August)? I understood they only had to be enrolled in an Al I class? Our repeaters are scheduled to retake Al 1A in the spring, Al 1B in August, and then Geometry in the spring of their Sophomore year.
