New Chiefs Orientation Classes in Cookeville and Jackson in September   The Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFMO) reminds all fire service leaders about two upcoming opportunities to complete the required 16-hour Fire Chief Orientation training.  These classes are designed for new chiefs who will serve as Assistants to the Commissioner. The courses will instruct new assistants on fire incident reporting, fire cause determination, legal requirements for fire chiefs, basic management skills, fire service agencies and associations, and Tennessee fire service requirements.  Classes will be held at the following events:  Upper Cumberland Fire & Rescue Expo, Sept. 20-21. Cookeville. Register here today.   Tennessee Fireman's Annual Conference, Sept. 27-28, Jackson. Register here today.   These are blended learning classes consisting of online material as well as classroom facilitation of material.
