The Tennessee Firefighting Commission recently changed the registration cutoff for events from 14 days to 5 days. This decision, which was based on the feedback we received from members of the Tennessee
fire service, is intended to give firefighters more time to submit prerequisites. This was a much-needed change. However, we need your help if this change is going to be successful.
Going forward, our staff will review registrations in advance and notify firefighters of missing items in order to give them time to submit the required documentation by the identified cutoff date.
This notification will be generated via Acadis.
It is imperative that firefighters take the appropriate action upon receipt of the notification or risk missing out on the
event.
The list of prerequisites for each certification requisites can
be found on our website.
Once our rules are updated to reflect this change, any registration missing the required documentation by the cutoff date will
not be registered for the event. In the meantime, we ask for your assistance with spreading the word throughout your departments about this change.
