Tennessee Certified Public Manager Program: Registration Open for 2026!

 

 

We are pleased to share that applications are now open for the next cohort of the Naifeh Center for Effective Leadership Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program, beginning in January 2026.

The CPM Program, offered in partnership with Leadership Tennessee and the University of Tennessee, is a nationally recognized professional development opportunity designed specifically for public sector leaders. Participants gain advanced training in leadership, management, and problem-solving, while also completing a capstone project that addresses real-world challenges in their communities.

The program is open to municipal officials and employees who are interested in strengthening their leadership skills and expanding their professional network across the state.

Key Details: 

 

  • Cohorts in: Knoxville, Nashville, Jackson
  • 12 month program; Meets once a month
  • Graduate credit opportunities with UT Knoxville, UT Chattanooga and Tennessee State University
  • State employees may qualify for a potential salary increase after completion
