Please see the important notice below from Shane Clark, Executive Director of the Firefighting Commission. As we approach that time of year when we submit our requests for educational incentive pay, the Commission has improved the process.

Please see the specifics below.

Best Regards,

The Firefighting Personnel Standards and Education Commission (FFC) is proud of the participation and advancement of the volunteer education incentive pay (VEIP) program.

We are quickly approaching the submission period for the 2023 educational incentive pay. There have been some changes made to the forms and the way in which they are submitted which is why they are not currently available on the FFC website.

The forms will now be submitted electronically through a link on our website. The electronic form has questions that will help walk you through the submission process. The Notarized Statement is being replaced with an Attestation Form that will be signed by the Chief and the city or county administrative official. The Attestation Form will be uploaded to the electronic form which will take away the requirement to mail forms to our office.

We are hopeful that these changes will make it a much simpler process for everyone. The link to the Formstack will be available on the website (https://tn.gov/commerce/ffc/educational-incentive-forms/veip_eip.html) and will be live on January 1, 2024 (not active at this time).
