to ten rules for contributing to mailing lists and forums
Dear Authors,

First, I have to say I find the experiment of writing an article as a
wiki quite fitting.

Though I know a bit late, I added a few changes to the text that I
believe made it more readable.

Altogether I find the manuscript quite informative though, as pointed
out before, some of the rules are still overlapping. In particular
Rule 1, 3, 5 and 6 are quite interrelated/redundant.

Therefore I second the suggestions of merging rule 5 and 6 (which is
quite programming specific) under a common rule. For the extra place
we could include one rule from the candidates in the bottom, such as
the one about choosing the right audience.

Looking forward to seeing the final version emerging...

Kind regards,
Robert

Hello,
thank you for your participation. It is good to have another point of view at this point of the writing.

I know that they are a bit redundant, but it is useful to repeat some specific parts.
The title is the most important part of a message, so it is important to stress that it must be chosen correctly. The other rules could be merged together into a single one, but we will loose some details that are worth explaining.

Well, we were actually having a 'Rule #0', so that will take the extra place.

Looking forward to seeing the final version emerging...

Robert
