Ten Simple Rules initiative - pdf of the manuscript for approval

Hello everybody,
thank you for all the 'kudos' :-) from the previous mails.

Please check the preliminary pdf of the manuscript before the submission.


It is important that you check the spelling of your name and affiliations carefully; these can be modified afterwards, but it is better to have them ready now.
if you are supported by a fellowship, consider citing it in the Acknowledgements section. You can drop me a note and I will add it to the document.

We have been asked to shorten the introduction; so, compared to the last version in the Wiki, we made some changes together with Lars Juhl Jensen, PLoS Computational Biology's editor, Jaume Bertranpetit and Hafid Laayouni from my group.
The abstract and the introduction have been merged and some small improvements have been made, specially to the introduction and rule 2.

I hope everybody is satisfied about authorship matters; if you don't agree with which authors have been included or the order, I am open to discussion.

Hi Giovanni,

thanks a lot for the nice work.

Actually the address of my University should be changed in "Winterthurerstrasse", the "h" is missing in the manuscript.

Then I think would be nice to include the fact that I am founded by the University of Zurich. You could write something like "JM is supported by foundings from the University of Zurich"


I am very happy.
